WOW killed me had it at a 2.5. Bullseye on the action and only 1 off on the other 3. Got my goal of keeping my score under 40 points at least after this round.

Welp it was a good run but pretty sure I’m done.

-Wow: 3.5 (+3)—almost gave it a higher grade but convinced myself bottom staple was detached.

-AC: 4.0 (0)

-Avengers: 7.5 (+2)—deducted too much for the shadow

-X-Men: 9.0 (0)

-Star Wars: 9.6 (+1)—thought it was soiling not foxing

 

ah well ‘‘twas fun!

I feel like lucie just pulled the football away again….

the bottom spine corner on the x-men got me - looked like something going on there. Otherwise I was ~close enough~ to feel ok about my awesome 8 points this round

Wow #1 3.5, CGC 5.0 - 3 pts.  Ouch!

Action Comics #253 4.0, CGC 4.0 - 0 pts.  Bullseye!

Avengers #48 7.5 - CGC 8.5 - 2 pts.  I deducted too much for the shadowing.

X-Men #107 8.5 - CGC 9.0 - 1 pt.  Saw more creasing than I thought a 9.0 should have on 3 of the front corners.

Star Wars #68 - 9.2 - CGC 9.4 - 1 pt.  Thought I saw some small stains on both front and back.

Yeah, there's always stuff in the scans that's hard to evaluate. I looked hard at that corner. It's a case where having the book in hand would make it a lot easier to decide.

I didn't see the WOW #1 getting a 5.0, and I'm surprised the Action got a 4.0 with all that wear.

Added 7 to my total and this was my first round without any bullseyes. I would probably be annoyed with myself if I wasnt already out of the running.

3.5 on the WOW, and 7.0 on the Avengers.

WOW, 3 bullseyes, and 3 points...I had no time to grade with the charity thread, so I took the 5 minutes it took my husband to find his keys and put his shoes on when we were leaving the other day.

My new method of grading,

When I really go over them, I change too much. Not in contention, but my best round.

 

BTW, we can still use help here for Thomas's family , feel free to join us... and MANY thanks to all of you who already have..
