Gene's the best. When I first met him 30 years ago he had GA Batmans in his table boxes for less than 50 bucks... a long time ago. He helped me finish off my Kirby run of Challengers. A friend and I had a table at a lot of the shows and Gene always treated me with respect, even though I was barely Little League compared to him and Bob. He's been a full time show dealer for 50 years. 

I've heard some encouraging reports, but Gene is always in my prayers anyway ... a true friend. GOD BLESS ...

yes, Gene is a good guy, but we used to cost each other money when we showed up at the same auction....About 30 years ago, I was at an estate sale part 1 around Harrisburg and got some nice VF-ish golden age superheroes books for cheap prices...The next month they had part 2, and Gene and his friend showed up...All we did was bid each other up....Funny thing, I could never buy from him when I saw him at a show....

Update to all from Facebook this morning - Longtime dealer Bob Cook visited Gene and reports he's doing great. Wonderful news!
