2 employees. 1 grader and his wife (in ebay verification for cards) allegedly in scheme where they stole submitted books and subbed them for their own account and then sold them.

I applied for vintage comic grader TWICE!   CGC doesn't know how to hire the honest employee!!!  Now, they have to look themselves for what they have done!

I moved on and I am happy where I am now.  That is too bad that I don't have Florida weather up here.

I just got a panicked email from an Ebay buyer of a run-of-the-mill X-Men book in 9.2 worried that the slab had been opened because of the play/flex in the 2nd gen slabs. Ugh. Thanks CGC for the confidence you are instilling in people who have your books. Now people think that $100 9.2s are being opened with heat guns.

Well that makes me want to send in some books now.

So CGC doesn't check employees coming/going from the "comic vault"?

SUMMARY

Certified Collectibles Group and Certified Guaranty Co. sued former employees Brandon Terrazas and Ayana Terrazas for conversion, false advertising and trademark infringement on Jan. 31 in Florida Middle District Court. The suit, brought by Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp, accuses the defendants of duplicating high-value comic book grade labels and applying them to lower-value comic books, thereby deceiving customers into paying inflated prices for incorrectly-graded comic books. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 8:24-cv-00301, Certified Collectibles Group LLC et al. v. Terrazas et al.
