Very. very well-done. This was a hard round! 

I was one grading degree away on four out of the five. My grades:

War Victory #1-   5.5

Tim Holt #17 -   4.0 (maybe I was really  here) 

Spidey #73 -   9.6

X-Men #97 -   9.0

Crossfire #12 -   8.0

Well. I was able to audit all 4 rounds. Very humbling. But what it actually showed was I am a VERY VERY harsh grader.

This was a tough round. Got a total of 5 which I am pretty happy with:

War Victory #1 4.5 (1) I had no idea what to do with the heavy foxing so this was a ‘what does it look like’ grade

Tim Holt #17 2.0 (1) thought this was way too beat up for a 2.5

Spidey #73 9.4 (!!)

X-Men #97 8.5 (2) I dinged the corner crease too badly I suppose

Crossfire #12 9.0 (1) the corners looked soft to me.

 

all in all, a decent showing. Have a great weekend all!

I will take it every day, compared to my earlier round!

I ended up with 22 total points.

Round 1 - 5 points 1 bullseye 

Round 2 - 7 points no bullseye.

Round 3 - 5 points 1 bullseye

Round 4 - 5 points 1 bullseye

One point off 13 times.

I bombed in other rounds. This one I just graded in 30 seconds total and it went well. Maybe it was luck

One bullseye (X-Men) and 1 off on each of the other four - two above by one grade and two below by one grade.  Total of 18 I think, first time I've averaged under a grade step.  Thanks everyone for a great contest!

4 pts this round - 5 pts  in round 3 -   as they say when comebacks fall short, "I didn't lose, I ran out of rounds !"   Just finding my groove after poor rounds 1 and 2.

Oof.  Was doing so well, but I did not see the defect on the Crossfire (I’m blaming bad lighting).  I said 9.6.  So, 4 on that book and then I think 6 total for the round.

+7, made some bad moves on the 2nd pass, should've stuck to speed grading. Had Tim Holt originally at 1.8, adjusted down to 1.5 at the last minute...

6 for me this round for a total of 20. I gave the Tim Holt a 1.8 and I thought that might be generous.

Even though I've achieved 8 pts. in this round, I believe I guessed pretty good...2 on the War Victory, nailed the Tim Holt...had I switched my guesses on the Spidey and X-Men books, that would've been 2 more bulls, and 4 off on the Crossfire.

So...going forward, I'm going to enact a certain "ritual" before pulling the trigger on my guesses, since my grading seems to be better when I do this...

Crossfire sunk me. Only one bullseye on this round, total of 3 points on the other books and 9.6 on Crossfire?? (I should have paid attention to the grading notes) = 7 total points for this round. I was hoping to stay under 20 points. Ended up with 22 total points..
