Here are three Peter Panda's.

I have several other Peter Panda's that have kind of a greytone look, but I think it's because they used a lot of bright pastel colors that make the covers look painted. I think these three are greytones. What do you think?

Here's a Three Mouseketeers #6. The Overstreet guide says that #8 is also a greytone, but I have a copy and I don't think it looks like a greytone at all.

This Secret Hearts cover is definitely a line drawing in the foreground but the background looks like a greytone effect.

I know most of the GI Combat greytones have been posted by now, but I can't remember if this one was. If so, sorry to be redundant. Anyway, I guess you could call this one a "pinktone."

Thanks a million collectron! Haven't seen most of those, and didn't even know there was a DC book called Secret Hearts. So many comics, so little time.

I love this thread!...has there ever been a complete list of a the DC greytones compiled?

To my knowledge, there has never been a DEFINITIVE greytone/washtone checklist. I once spent several days going through all the various DC titles on the GCD, and I found greytones or partial greytones all over the place... westerns,sci-fi, horror, funny animal, and war of course. There's even a Batman greytone from some time back in the silver age.

 

If anyone DOES have a list, I'd love to see it!
