Thanks to Sacramento's A-1 Comics, I finally got a copy for myself. One of the top 10 bizarre comic covers of all time.

 

Cowboys, nazis and a kewpie doll with califlower ears!

I never realized just how faded my copy was until you posted the pedigree. :frustrated:

Very doubtful that yours is faded. Charltons were cheaply printed, even by comic industry standards, and it's typical to see this variation from issue to issue. I've seen some extreme color variations within a single printed comic.

I've seen rolls of Charmin with better paper quality than most Charltons.
