Cool & Collected
Very cool I had to pass on the 5-drawer ones, but that's still a great cabinet. As you've seen on my video, it was pretty easy to paint them. The handles can also be replaced with no problems.

There were a few that had been neglected in some warehouse and looked all rusty and chewed up and they still wanted like $500. Someone probably needs to make something like this more tailored to slabs. Keep checking craigslist and FB marketplace. It took me a year to find a good one for a reasonable price. $500 is a bit too much if it is rusted. I'd pay $500 in very good condition or $400 if it needs to be repainted. Good luck

If someone were to make something tailor-made for displaying slabs, you know those poster displays some comic book stores have that hold say 20 posters vertically in cases and you flip through them, and if you leave it open to one poster it just stays that way until someone moves it again? It'd be cool to have something like that for slabs that maybe held two across and four or 6 vertically, so you could leave it open and easily change the ones visible. Funny you mentioned it... I was going to do this but instead of the "poster hanger" there are "blueprint hangers" that I found while searching for the "blueprint" cabinets I bought. They are similar to the poster hangers, but a lot stronger and more expensive. I gave up on that idea/project because the cabinets are a more "solid" solution that is ready for the comics without any modification. I also like that the cabinets can be locked, so if you have kids it may be a better option. After I got the cabinets I did make a custom comic book frame to display 6 comics on the wall... they are easy to make and probably cost me about $30 w/ home depot parts. I think the video link is already here (if not, just check my channel).

Would also just like a less-engineered version of these, maybe made out of plastic or something, if it could cut down the cost.
Popular Post wombat
Added this table to display some art books. I may eventually put some statues on this, but I like the way it looks for now. Antpark, GeneticNinja, Ira K and 11 others

Popular Post Iconic1s
Finally got the Spinner Rack in earlier this week... it hasn't quite made it into the 'comic room' yet because I will need to shuffle some things around in there, but it is close (just outside the door for now). Was initially a little disappointed because the shape of the racks were not exactly as shown on the site and I had to do some straightening of some things out of the box. The owner Jim, is an awesome guy and made everything right. Now that I've got this set up I really love it and will consider ordering the CGC size rack in the future, might have already ordered it if I had room. I still need to load it up with books. I had planned to display bagged/boarded books but have since decided to put reader copies on this as it makes it a little more interactive. The signs up top are really cool but I might make some custom Superman/Doomsday or DC Universe logo ones when I get some time. Popular Post Cocomonkey
When my wife and I moved into our new apartment a couple years ago, I finally decided (read: was given permission) to hang some things...I just could never really settle on what. I had a few things for sure I wanted hanging, but otherwise, not much of a plan. Well, over time, some more stuff got accrued, and a nice little theme emerged. The Zero Hour books were always on my list to put up (they're part of a set for the whole LS, but these had the best sketches...the lanterns got smaller as the series progressed and there was less and less negative space, until the last issue or two just had signatures), then after getting the Grell GA books from Blastaar in the Christmas raffle (thanks again!), I had a plan in place. Got myself the Neal Adams profile sketch to tie them together, and boom, finally got around to hanging it all. The fact that they're all on a green wall (which isn't coming out as well in the pictures) is just an unexpected bonus, haha! And still plenty of wall space to add things in the future! These join the Spider Jerusalem sketch and Neal Adams Cyclops profile I already had hanging in the hallway outside that room... Spins as smooth as silk too! Not sure about leaving in by the window but can’t find a better place right now No direct sunlight there but gonna do some research into whether indirect UV rays bounce though. This looks amazing, congratulations! Obsession you say!? Check out the finishing touch! Made one topper for each Superman title. Scanned my own raw books, sized them up and had them printed on heavy card stock at Office Depot. Left them a little wider than the originals so they would bow out a little bit. Less than $4.00 for the set so will probably be doing more. Keys_Collector, Dave2739, archiecomicscollector and 5 others
