Dear Santa,

All I want for Christmas is the original art to this cover.

Yours truly,

Bangzoom

P.S. I've been very very good this year.

Yes, I am kidding. :shy: I took Bang's comic image and Photoshopped it to look like a piece of original art. The $10 figure came from his purchase of the Tarzan comic from a flea market for the same price. P.S. My favorite all-time flea market is the Canton First Monday trade days in Texas. Have you ever been there?

(worship) That's amazing, Flee.

When I first saw the image, I naturally thought it was a real piece of artwork.

I checked the Heritage auction results archive and then I Googled it.

Obviously I didn't find it.

I then said to my wife, "It might be real, but let's remember it is Flee posting it. Maybe it's one of his creations?"

Darned if I could tell by looking at it tho.

You're too good. :applause:

I am embarrassed to say I have never been. Everyone has talked about how incredible it is, though I have heard the quality of stuff showing up over the last few years has dropped. But I have also heard that, while it is a ton of walking and digging, there is always something. When is it next?

(The first Monday of each month, Dork!)

Been twice. As I said to the family, "Nothing here that a good fire wouldn't cure." ;)

It is a good one Flee.

All that's left now is to print it out on say an 11x14 cardstock, shoot a fuzzy pic and offer it on ebay for a couple grand starting price. :tonofbricks:

Oddly enough I believe there are those that would do that. :frustrated:

I wonder what the artwork to the cover of Action 1 would look like? hm:cloud9:

Honestly....I wouldn't go there.

If Flee mocks it up and posts it, I guarantee you'll see the swiped image in a scam ebay auction within the year....probably with a story about "my grandfather worked at a printing plant in NJ in the 1930s, and I found this in his attic after he died, not sure what it's worth", etc.

That's a good point. Sad, but true.

Yeah, but we have Paratrooper on our side. He knows how to deal with eBay scammers.

I'd enjoy witnessing the mayhem if someone tried to sell that piece of art on eBay. :sumo:

The more likely scenario is that someone would steal an image from the thousands of covers that have been scanned and are posted throughout the Internet.

Very nice! Will you post some individual issues now that they're out?

I did two of the (ONLY) four Comics on Parade indexed at GCD -- an Abner and a Nancy. If anyone would like to give it a try but doesn't know how to start, let me know.
