The $10 figure came from his purchase of the Tarzan comic from a flea market for the same price. P.S. My favorite all-time flea market is the Canton First Monday trade days in Texas. When I first saw the image, I naturally thought it was a real piece of artwork. I checked the Heritage auction results archive and then I Googled it. Obviously I didn't find it. I then said to my wife, "It might be real, but let's remember it is Flee posting it. Maybe it's one of his creations?" Darned if I could tell by looking at it tho. You're too good. Everyone has talked about how incredible it is, though I have heard the quality of stuff showing up over the last few years has dropped. But I have also heard that, while it is a ton of walking and digging, there is always something. When is it next? (The first Monday of each month, Dork!) I'd enjoy witnessing the mayhem if someone tried to sell that piece of art on eBay. The more likely scenario is that someone would steal an image from the thousands of covers that have been scanned and are posted throughout the Internet.
