Was fortunate enough to visit a collector friend who let me gaze upon the St. John's original art for the cover of ERB's At The Earth's Core...

Absolutely. I sleep with a smile just from having seen them!

BTW, all of them are on view on Comic Art Fans.

I like Burroughs and I like covers by J. Allen St John, too.

If I had a few of those I wouldn't let you in my house! Just kidding Richard, you are welcome anytime. That is simply incredible. It's one thing to see the pulp but I think the OA would take my breath away...

Awsome pulps. I like that Oct issue a lot too. I had a chance to pick up a huge load of Magic Carpet and Oriental Stories once but passed because I was stupid and didn't know any better. I did get all the horror and crime ones though.

Here are some of the Weird Tales family of pulps that I've picked up in the past few months.

Magic Carpet, Apr 33, Oct 33

The Oct issue may be my favorite Brundage cover of all.

I think that is pretty much what happened. I remember seeing it on the wall and the next thing I remember is him splashing water in my face to bring me around.

Bob Lesser's bequeathed pulp cover collection is on loan at the local library. I'd seen them once before but had to gaze on them again. He had some St. John. Just incredible works.
