  2. Hello! This is an excellent question! We will provide window bags for books that are received already encapsulated in our holders. Please be sure to include the Signature Series label that is printed along with the packing slip with the books. Thank you.
  3. Hello! We are sorry to hear that delays may have caused your book to be late to the signing event. If you do miss the deadline, our Signature Series department will reach out to you directly via email with options on how to move forward regarding your submission. This usually will include the option to grade the book with a Universal Blue label or have the book sent back raw and ungraded.
  4. Hello! We are sorry that your book received a lower grade than you were hoping for. Unfortunately, there is an inherent risk when a collectible is subjected to additional handling from a signing event, which might result in additional defects and a lower grade. This is a risk that the customer acknowledges and accepts when they agree to our waiver and the terms and conditions on the submission form. We do offer pressing services for all private signings and do encourage customers concerned about additional defects to utilize this service to press out any possible new defects that may have occurred during the signing.

I would suggest in the future that you contact customer service directly for questions on the status of your submissions. You can reach them by calling 877-662-6642 or by emailing submissions@cgccomics.com. It looks like your submission is still within the estimated total turnaround time for Pressing/Grading services for the Standard tier of service. Please note that the turnaround times are in business days and do change. We hope to have your submission finalized in the next week or so.

  7. Hello! Yes, signing always takes place before pressing. We understand it may seem confusing that the status says at CCS but this is more of a place holder confirming that Pressing services were selected on the submission once the signing event has taken place.

  13. Hello! Although we can't assist you with selling your collectible, we can get it graded for you. You would simply need to submit the page like you would a normal magazine. It will not be able to receive the graded label, but it will receive a PG label as shown below. The current turnaround times for magazine submissions can be found by following this link.   19. Hello again! This is a complicated answer. These questions are answered in the new CGC Guide to Grading Comics found in our CCG Store as well! If a new staple is added to a comic, but not placed directly into the existing staple holes (rather placed somewhere else on the book), that staple is treated as “extra staple added after manufacturing”. In the case of the Mystic, someone took the top staple out, then put a new staple in, but below the existing staple holes. Because of this the book will be downgraded for both a missing staple and the addition of the extra staple. Had the extra staple been added directly into the existing holes where the original staple was, the book would get a conserved grade rather than be downgraded for the two reasons listed above.

  21. Hello! It looks like this signing occurred on 10/5/22 and the books should be finalized withing 6 to 8 weeks from that date. Some books will be finished sooner depending on when they were received. It does look like yours is in process and should be moving forward shortly.

If a game is received and it is determined that it has been resealed, then we will contact you to ask if you would like the game opened and graded as Complete In Box or if you would like the game sent back as is. We do not grade resealed games as we cannot verify the contents are complete. As for testing games, CGC Video Games does reserve the right to test any game that is received.
