I'm 35, born in '89. Loved 90s comics but now collect golden age.

Awesome pickup on the Diary Secrets BTW. I saw that up on ebay and knew it would go quick. Presents really really well for a 2.0!
Thanks! I think it was up for a few days. Tough book in any grade, had to grab it. One of Baker's best.

imho they look like Ogden , the womens face seem too oval and sharp features and the clothing on both too stiff. Composition also awkward.
The Paris Review - The Charming, Ridiculous Romance Comics of Ogden Whitney - The Paris Review100%, especially the first one. Totally different animal than Baker but I unapologetically love his style too.

Thanks, BTW. Now I'm looking for this copy.
Good luck! Very cool, dynamic cover. Don't see it pop up very often.

Amazing thread. Dude was clearly partial to his sailor-striped shirts.

This was my first Baker. It's a great feeling.
Many thanks to @comicnoir and Baker fanatics of this thread helping spread knowledge along the way.

I'd like to see a mass poll for Baker's best covers. Would be entertaining.

That's really a stunning 2.0! Congrats!
Thanks! Very odd I thought. I've never seen a 2.0 look so remarkable.
Grader notes:
large piece out bottom of back cover
light spine stress lines to cover
light staining to cover
moderate creasing to cover -

Adventures Into the Unknown sold very cheap at the recent Heritage auction.
Though they never seem to be in demand and I'm the only person who likes those covers.

The heavy inking is what plagues Baker's Atlas/Quality covers. His style is barely identifiable due to this.

I just took a tour of all 29 pages of this thread, and noticed I had not posted my other two books with Schomburg covers.
There's a bit of restoration going on in my copy of Thrilling Comics #54, but it presents pretty well.
Thanks for liking some of mine. #54 has classic Schomburg tropes. One of my favorites.
