  1. Hello @sionnach_ruadh, thank you for contacting CGC. I see that we got your mechanical error submission into the system on 11/17/22. Typically, mechanical error submissions take about 3-4 weeks to be completed, but this might be taking a bit longer due to the recent surge in submissions and also the holidays. I've just sent my operations team an email now to see if they can have this submission pushed along for you, hopefully, you should see some movement on the status shortly. Thank you so much for your patience while we process your order. Please kindly let me know if I can help with anything further!
  2. Hello @Hot Nickels , thank you for contacting CGC. I will need to double-check with my signature series department to confirm the answer to your inquiry. Thank you for your patience while I check on this for you!
  3. Hello @BorderLanes, hope you're doing well! It is possible that we have a bit of a backlog in the mail, but typically MEs are opened as a priority. I have sent an email to my receiving manager with your packing slip and tracking number so hopefully, he is able to locate your order and get it into the system ASAP. Please kindly let us know if you don't see the order in the system in the next couple of business days. Thank you so much for your patience in the meantime!
  4. Hello @BenJoh33, thank you for contacting CGC. While I cannot speak on whether there will be customs fees incoming to our facilities (you may need to check with your local customs office), to my knowledge there should not be any customs fees when we ship your package back to you. Additionally, CGC has been looking to expand as well, potentially to grade comics in Europe but there has been nothing official mentioned quite yet. I would kindly suggest keeping an eye out for announcements on our webpage or social media, as this is a great possibility in the future. Please let me know if we can assist with anything further at all.
  5. Hello @snowone, thank you for contacting CGC. There should not be anything further you need to submit other than your book and the certification that was received from Heritage Auctions. Please kindly make a copy of the certification, and send this in with your submission. You'll want to keep the original copy for your records. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!
  6. Hello @JIM DIAZ, thank you for contacting CGC. Please kindly message me your tracking number so I can confirm your package is at our facilities. I do not see that it has been put into the system quite yet. Thank you!
  7. Hello @Math Teacher, the books would need to kindly arrive before your next renewal for the credit to apply. The fees for your books are put into the system once we physically receive them at our facilities, so they would need to be received prior to 05/29/23. If you renew again, a "new" $150.00 credit will be generated and that will be used if we receive your books after your 2022 renewal. Hello @prospect5000, there is nothing you need to do on your side for us to apply your CGC credit. When you go to make a submission, the price does not factor in the credit you've received. We do not charge you until your submission gets to us in-house, where we will apply your credit and charge you for the remaining difference. Thank you!
  8. Hello @mbkm, thank you for contacting CGC. They actually changed it earlier in 2022 to where the membership can be used on all fees associated with your submission. So grading fees, shipping, handling fees, and custom labels should all be included in what the membership credit can go towards. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  9. Hello @PichuCollector, Matt M forwarded me the response from the grading team on this. They are still standing by that we would need provenance provided to be able to grade WOTC square cut cards. Unfortunately, they did not mention what type of proof would be required in this situation. Also, yes! We did officially open the UK office for TCG grading. You may read more about the opening and submitting your cards HERE. Please let us know if you need anything further. Thank you!
  10. Hello @Bone Cell, thank you for contacting CGC Video Games. Currently, we do not have a population report quite yet for CVG, since this branch is fairly new. We are in the process of creating this on the website, but there is no way to look up census information quite yet. This should be a feature that will become available in the near future. Please let us know if you have any other inquiries!
  11. Hello @grababeh, thank you for contacting CGC Trading Cards. It is common for a card to have very slight movement in their slabs. They shouldn't be outright sliding around, but minor movement is acceptable and will not damage the card. Thank you,
  12. Hello @Brumyladd, thank you for contacting CGC Trading cards. That's a really neat miscut card you have on your hands! Unfortunately, we do not buy, sell, or value trading cards, so I cannot assist a whole lot with providing the potential value of the card. However, if you're looking to have the card graded, here are some basic instructions on how to get you started: In order to submit cards to us for grading, you would need to be a paid member of our Collector's Society. Memberships start at $25 per year. You can sign up for membership here: Join CGC Today | CGC (cgccards.com) Once you are a paid member you would then need to complete an online submission form found on our website. The system will walk you through step by step for submitting your cards. You’ll need to have a general idea of the value of each card to help select which grading “tier” or category to submit the card under. You can find all of our grading tiers and fees here: Services and Fees | Card Submissions | CGC (cgccomics.com). Make sure when you're filling out the submission form to select "error", otherwise the miscut may not be attributed. Complete the online form and then print your packing slip and this is what will go in your box with your cards. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
  13. Hello @JoeBrrr, thank you for contacting CGC. Yes, all books that are signed by an in-house signing event must be re-graded. Adding pressing as an additional service is available when you go to create the submission online for the in-house signing event (the system will force you to select grading I believe, you would also select pressing as well at that time if you'd like this service.) Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
  14. Hello @mytastebud, thank you for contacting CGC. You would need to kindly send these comics back for a complimentary reholder service (Mechanical Error). I have private messaged you the instructions now. Thank you!
  15. Hello @bolkonsky, thank you for contacting CGC. I have sent your 4 invoices - 2 for CGC and 2 for CCS - in a separate email. It does not appear that the system used your membership credit originally, so I re-added the credit to the system and refunded it back to your card on file. Please kindly let me know if I can assist with anything further!
  16. Hello @cannal, thank you for contacting CGC. Writing "WK" on the side of the box only lets my team know to expedite putting your order into the system once we receive it in the mail. So it will continue to be processed once as a "WK" once your box is opened, but you may experience a couple of extra days of waiting while we work to get your order in the system. I don't believe my team is *too* backed up in mail right now, so you should see the order added to the system shortly after it is received. Please let us know if you need anything else!
  17. Hello @Vexxation, thank you for contacting CGC. Do you mind kindly sending us a photo of the issue you're having with the submission form? If the book is not already listed as a pedigree in the system (which it shouldn't be, even though it's newwstand), I don't believe it should be popping up as a pedigree when you put in the book's certificate. If the book was deemed a pedigree previously, it will need to have a pedigree label, unfortunately. Thank you in advance for the screenshots!
  18. Hello @bobotski, thank you contacting CGC. Yes, your comics have been signed as of this past week. You should start to see some movement on them shortly. Please kindly keep in mind that the "Scheduled for Grading" status is just a placeholder status until your books are graded though, the status does not indicate that the signing has occurred necessarily. Please let us know if you need anything further!
  19. Hello @FoxBeHungry, thank you for contacting CGC. We're so sorry to see the shipping damage to your comic! I have private messaged you the details on how to send this comic back to us for a mechanical error service. If you have any additional questions or need any further assistance, please let me know. Thank you!
  20. Hello @RLL, here are the best answers I can provide that Crystal was able to receive from the grading team: For questions 1 and 2, we do not grade metal cards at this time. You may find this information HERE. However, we are working towards being able to grade metal cards! Please keep an eye out for announcements on this either via social media or our TCG Newsletter. For question 3, any autograph pulled straight from a pack of cards that says on the card that it comes autographed receives a regular blue label as the company printing the cards has guaranteed the autograph is authentic at that point. Lastly, for question 4, artist proofs will receive a green label as provenance is unknown at that point, for unknown artist sketches we treat them similar to proofs and they will receive a green label with a designator on the back marking them as unverifiable who the artist is. In both cases as long as enough of the card is visible to see that it is a card from a set we grade we will grade them. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
  21. Hello @grababeh, our grading process is proprietary, so I cannot give a whole lot of information on this. We of course take into consideration the details of your card when grading without subgrades - corners, surface etc. However, we don't save this information in the system which is why we need to regrade the card if you choose to send a card back in to receive subgrade designations. Hopefully this helps!
  22. Hello again,@J Bone! I just wanted to kindly clarify just in case, we do grade these cards if you'd like to send them in for grading. I'm so sorry I didn't mention that previously. Here is an example of one of these cards graded: If you're looking for help on how to submit them, please let me know, I am happy to help!
  23. Hello @J Bone, thank you for contacting CGC Trading Cards. Those are really neat cards you've found, I've actually never seen those before! Unfortunately, TCG is currently only a trading card grading company. We do not buy, sell, or value cards at all, so we wouldn't be able to advise you on the best way to sell them. My only suggestion would be to look at our TCG Dealer Locator HERE, as there may be some trading card dealers near you that would be interested in purchasing these perhaps. Thank you for checking!
  24. Hello @r1v3r, thank you for contacting CGC Trading Cards. Those cards are really neat! However, unfortunately, we do not grade these cards at this time. You may find a list of the cards we grade HERE. We're really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for checking!
  25. Hi @Mplacek06, thank you for contacting CSG. Do you mind kindly providing us with the submission number for this order? We can make a shipping claim on your behalf through FedEx, and they will be the ones to approve the claim and reimburse you if they do deem that your package is lost. The declared value of your package is what you listed as the declared value of your cards on the original submission form. Please kindly get back to us with the submission number so we may file a claim on your behalf. Thank you!
