  1. Hello @Pokemon Mattster, thank you for contacting us. Yes, .5 grade increments will still be used, so 9.5s will still continue to be given as Mint Plus. Any current Gem Mint 9.5s will be listed as 10s in our population report, but 9.5 Mint Plus cards will be given stll after the merger date takes place. A 9 grade will likely remain a 9, however, there is a possibility that a strong 9 may change to a 9.5. With that said, you would kindly need to send the card in once again in order to have it regraded to confirm this. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  2. Hello @cyclonus11, thank you for contacting us. Yes, signature series will continue to exist for trading cards when applicable signings occur. 3. Hello @TrueDisplay87, thank you for contacting us. Firstly, we would like to apologize that you feel that your games are not being graded fairly. Although we cannot comment on why your games received the grade that it did, we can assure you that all collectibles are reviewed by multiple professionals to ensure the most accurate grade is given. With this said, 10s and 9.9s are absolutely possible to receive, however, the game must be virtually "perfect" in order to receive these grades. A 9.8 is described as "A CGC 9.8 is a nearly perfect game with negligible handling or manufacturing defects. For a games grade with a 10, we describe this as "the highest grade assigned. The game must have no evidence of any manufacturing or handling defects." While this may be hard to obtain, we assure you it is certainly possible! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!

  13. Hello @goldsilverap, thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, the PS1 long box games you are referring to would be considered a "big box" game. CGC Video Games does not currently grade non-standard sized boxes, including Big Boxes. You may kindly find all items we do not grade HERE. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you for checking!
  14. Hello @Vagrantwade, thank you for contacting us. CGC Trading Cards has developed a proprietary algorithm to determine a card’s final grade based on its sub-grades. While we can’t explain how we arrived at the grade and sub-grades for a specific card, we can share some guidelines. First, it is important to note that the final grade is not simply an average of the sub-grades. Rather, it is based on numerous rules built into CGC Trading Cards’ proprietary systems and grading process. For example, the final grade can be no more than .5 points higher than the lowest sub-grade, which I suspect may have been the case with your card. In addition, if the two lowest sub-grades are the same, then that is the final grade for the card.  For more info on the CGC Trading Cards grading scale, including detailed explanations for each grade and sub-grade, visit  https://www.cgccards.com/card-grading/grading-scale/ Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  15. Hello @Patrickonwww, thank you for contacting us. Yes, you can absolutely send your card in to be upgraded to the 10 black label. All you would need to do is send the card in for a reholder service and the grade will be automatically updated. The service would be either $10.00 for a card valued under $10,000 or $30.00 for a card valued over $10,000 (plus shipping and handling). Kindly keep in mind that you'll need to sign up for a CSG membership to be able to submit to us. You may do this here: Join CSG Today! Once you complete the submission form, pack your card(s) up and send it on in with the packing slip! For best practices for shipping to us, please kindly visit How To Submit | CSG. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  16. Hello @Makmorn, thank you for contacting us. I have spoken with the grading team in reference to your question. They said that it is possible that a loose disc can affect the grade, but not always, it just depends on the severity of how lose the game is in the case. The final decision would need to be determined by the grading team once they have your game in-hand to evaluate how loose the disc may be. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
  17. Hello @flynfox, thank you for providing those photos. Per the grading team, this is how the label structure will look if the card is submitted: 1991 Denny’s Holograms #26 Tim Raines Wrong Back Please note that since we call out “Wrong Back” on the label, we will not detract from the grade, as it is a “as made” factory error. We hope this helps in your decision towards if you'd like to submit to us. Thank you!
  18. Hello @jdmtdcollector, thank you for contacting us. You may kindly find a list of events we plan to attend here: Events | CSG. 19. Hello @northkorea, thank you for patiently waiting for a reply! I have messaged the grading team, and they have replied that these cards were supposed to be labeled as "Hand Cut" (displayed on the label), but this might have been missed. This has been discussed with CSG's head grading team, and if these cards come in in the future, they will be properly identified. Thank you!
  20. Hello @Mondster86, unfortunately, we would not be able to advise what defects may cause a grade to be lower than another defect. These decisions are made directly by the grading team and our grading processes are proprietary. While we would love to assist you further, we cannot provide exacts on how the graders came to their final decision. Although we cannot comment on why your card received the grade that it did, we can assure you that all collectibles are reviewed by multiple professionals to ensure the most accurate grade is given. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
  21. Hello @Jeremysitb, thank you for contacting us. I have reviewed your inquiry with our grading team, and they said that even though the game is manufactured without plastic wrap, it would not receive a "sealed" notation. It will receive a complete in box notation instead. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
  22. Hello @KDunlap, thank you for contacting us. You may do either or - send the card in order based on the packing slip or if you feel it to be safer to package it separately you may do so. As long as your submission form is in the box and indicates there is a crossover card in the mix, you're okay to package it however way you feel is the safest for the card/slab to make it to us without damage. Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
