  1. Car crashes and train wrecks always garner much attention. -Terry And so does the greatest Superhero movie ever made... This is the Winter Soldier thread? I love the Winter Soldier movie. Even with some of its flaws (Nick Fury has a laser in his jacket so powerful, he cuts through the roof of his SUV and the street below to escape - but doesn't use it on Winter Soldier). But even that received a 7.8/10.0 on IMDb from 462,640 user votes. So I guess not everyone liked it consistently enough. Which surprised me. It was a good movie, but a half an hour too long and too childish in the Bucky vs. Cap relationship.
  2. This is why they are fun to collect in high grade. I pass on VF copies in stores/at shows all the time. True 9.4+ copies are much more difficult to find.
  3. Nice haul! If anyone is looking for Transformers #5 - 12 or so in nice shape LMK as a LCS just put some in the bins.
  4. Here are seven newly reholdered books with the correct Canadian designation. I really like the clarity of the plastic on the new slabs.
  5. I don't know if I missed it here earlier, but Spider-Man Deadpool #1 is doing fairly well for a 3 issue in book. I can't believe that #2 has a 3rd print already.
  6. So...............which female cast member will Costner be putting the moves on while filming this one - Gadot or Eve?
  7. Here's hoping the movie is as good as everything looks so far.
  8. Superman being stabbed in the chest wouldn't kill him. It's a little known fact but a Kryptonian's chest cavity contains no vital organs... just a portal to the Phantom Zone. Tenuous link... I want to see this movie more than the Justice League movie. Maybe they can just gloss over that part in Justice League (supes is already back) then do Man of Steel 2 with the return of Superman, but just released out of sequence. That would also be a great way to intro GL. He comes back to earth after they destroy Coast City. Then the GL movie is about Hal Jordan going crazy and Kyle Rayner learning to be a GL and ultimately having to face Hal. I like that idea Although my gut feeling is we won't see GL until after JL... or maybe at the end. I hope the way they play the GL part is to have Hal, and maybe a few of the Corps, come in as the cavalry to help save the day against Darkseid and his minions.
  9. I think people are worrying too much after the critics' reaction to BvS. This looks like it will be a good movie in the Deadpool mold, not simpler and lighter fare like a Marvel Studios flick. Will that hamper its ticket sales a bit? Maybe, but I would rather see a darker movie after all of the summer popcorn flicks start off with Civil War.
  10. Yeah... I don't think Jungle Book's going to be as big as they hope, but it should still easily go to #1 this weekend... Yeah, I think you're right. I go back and forth on the Jungle Book. +2. My kids are 10 and 11 and they both looked at the trailer and said it is for younger kids. Jungle book will do well overall, but it is not going to attract much more outside of the younger children and parents crowd. I can see it struggling after a couple of weeks in the box office to be honest.
  11. Looks like Star Wards and Darth Vader are continuing their slow and steady decline. Star Wars sold less than 110,000 copies in March. I am curious to see how far Batman drops with Snyder/Capullo leaving. Their run has been brilliant on the title and I will be one of many who are sad to see them go......
  12. Looks like I had better pick up the pace with sending in the HG copies of PPSM #64 that I have left.
  13. It does not need to be a hit, it just needs to be aired so we can all cash in on our stashes of PPSM #64s.
  14. Pretty Little Liars is a twisted show. My daughter watches it as well.
  15. I always thought Shazam the original Captain Marvel would be more popular than Superman if the modern mass mainstream discovered him. The DC lawyers knew what they were doing when the put Fawcett Comics out of business in the 1950s. The irony is DC will now reap the rewards of the Shazam movie franchise. If I recall correctly, Captain Marvel was outselling Superman for a period in the 40s which is why DC went after them.
  16. The Black Cat #1 should fetch a higher price than the Lizard cover IMHO.
  17. That one is a gift grade IMHO as well, but since it is my only Canadian 9.8 for Thor #337 at the moment it is a keeper.
  18. Based on the number of Tec #359s I currently have on hand, I would love to see some of the deleted scenes feature Barbara Gordon as well.
  19. +1 I am probably the only person on the boards who has not seen TFA yet. My kids did not want to go after their friends at school said TFA was lame/sucked. This trailer looks better than the first TFA trailer. It is interesting, but I think due to the wide variety of sci-fi/comic movie and TV offerings now, along with video games, that Star Wars, and especially Star Trek, have much less appeal than they did for my generation.
  20. AMC is doing a good job of marketing this show. I really hope it does well as the comic stands the test of time well. It would be a blast to see them take the TV series a few years to the end of the comic run.
  21. Angel/Archangel looks like he is going to start crying.
