This is a crucial movie for DC because it`s their first big non-Superman and Batman movie in their new cinematic universe. People want it too succeed and not bomb like Green Lantern. If this movie does 85 million domestically like David Ayer`s Fury did, than who is to say they might pull the plug on their universe movies, and just focus on Batman and Superman movies? That`s why a lot of people are going to scrutinize this movie. Too me it looks and sounds like it will be a fair average movie, and it has to be better than that now in this highly competitive field. In 2005 they could get away with mediocrity, not anymore. Imagine if this movie did under 100 million domestically next summer? That would be considered a bomb. This Joker stuff has now created a bad vibe about this movie. We will see how it turns out. Remember what you initially say to me about Green Lantern based on test screenings before it was released........

That should give Batman #428 a little boost. That this is true as I have been compiling a small stack of Death in the Family runs the past couple of years.

So, I can get multiple copies of Batman #40 and #40 Mask Movie variant from a couple of stores. Is it worth it? There are no limits and both stores are well stocked.

Should Nowhere Men still be on the list? I sold a VF copy of #1 for $5 at the Calgary Expo on the first day, but I am not certain it has any demand otherwise.

The Marvel 2099 run was exceptionally good during that time period.........

Wow, what a horrible week for speculation on moderns......

They should sprinkle Orb industries around in the movie as well, with a subtle reference to spider aliens somehow, to set the stage for the arrival of X-O in a solo flick.

The're expanding the concept behind Rai #0 (1992) --- telling the future of the Valiant universe --- not expanding the actual Rai #0 storyline. The stories could be completely new... potentially nothing like what happened in Rai #0. I think they're saying that the death of X-O Manowar will have a full story (separate book), rather than a couple of panels, like it did in Rai #0. We will see how it goes. I can't believe how far a lot of the print runs have fallen on the Valiant relaunch. Hopefully the TV/movie exposure can help to pick them up a bit.

Well.....it is the 1st appearance of Wolverine just like the title states.......

So, they are just expanding the storyline from Rai #0 and milking it for 8 issues instead of just 1? It will be curious to see how that plays out on the back issue market. I am still making a nice profit off of DoW sets at shows as they sell at $35 as fast as you put them out.

Suicide Squad movie. For sake, at this rate the question will be which 2nd tier villain or hero from the DCU is not in the Suicide Squad movie instead of which ones are in it......... I predict we're going to see quite a few deaths. Perhaps we'll get an Indiana Jones-style opening with a largely unrelated adventure where pretty much the entire team is wiped out. If that is how it goes down, I wonder which will be more entertaining to see - the actual sequence in the movie or the speed at which speculators will have to dump the characters' 1st appearances after they die?

Sins of the Past is the best Spidey story arc since the 80s IMHO. If I were writing EoSV, Spider-Gwen = the love child of Gwen and the Goblin.

Hey that's me! Didn't know someone was asking $26 more. For anyone wondering about $15 shipping, you're probably not from Canada. Nice job, Andy! First you cleaned up with the Deadpool phantoms in Calgary and now this. Hopefully the Valiant Calgary Expo variant works out for you as well.......

The print run for Shazam #1 is too high. It was a highly speculated on book at the time it was released. Almost every BA collection I have purchased has multiples of #1, but most of the Shazam runs end off just after the 100 page giants so #25 and #28 are missing.

The relaunch has been a dud back issue sales wise despite a couple of the titles being fun reads. if you happen to go to an LCS that orders a lot (rare), you can generally get good money for variants and occasionally for reprints. Been there and done that early on and made some nice quick profits. Last year I picked up a small pile of limited variants for cheap from a store (including another Shadowman black in the folder) so I am happy to see that they may have some life.

I would feel a lot better about the franchise's potential if it was with a better studio..........
