  1. internet comic sellers like you are the type of people E.S. hates the most. Pretty sure he hates speculators more than Internet comic sellers (thumbs u That is a joke as without the speculators there would be no demand for most of the new books Image puts out.......... If you go back to the beginning I am one of the first people to post in the thread on how great the NWM series is. The fact I loaded up on #1s after reading it for resale potential should not be an issue. I completely agree. If people didn't perceive future value, these would end up in the recycling bin like newspapers. Its cheaper to buy TPBs from Image for almost everything except maybe The Walking Dead but people still buy comics. A trade is a lot easier to read/handle than pulling out 5 different comics and the comics cost more. Edit: I still believe the stories would be in demand but not for $3 to $5 for 22 pages or even $15 for 144 pages. Too many of these are free at the library. How many Image books last past issue #5 with close to #1 print runs? That tells you what the "reader" market really is for the books vs. how fast they drop off once the speculative hype dies down. In any case, I am glad to see NWM back and look forward to picking up the next arc via TPB instead of floppies. That way I will not have to wait for two years to complete the 6 issue arc.....

  3. Will TOS #58 (Cap vs. IM cover) see some Civil War movie hype action?
  4. I was set up and I think I know who you were. You were there with a friend, right? I am the one that had another B&B #28 on the way.
  5. Dennis asks high prices for his keys and eventually gets them. A few years ago (2010ish?) he moved a 1.5 or 1.8 restored Adventure #247 for $1000 that had been sitting for a bit.
  6. Image needs to hype this as much as they can. I still have a few copies of #1 1st prints that I found in a long box that I need to sell.
  7. At the small local show on Father's Day last weekend in usually Marvel centric Edmonton I had people asking about B&B #28 and SC #22. You did the wrong show.
  8. hoarder Give me back my 2-3 you bought from me! Your copies look like 9.8s.....
  9. Bring on Deathstroke. I have another 6 copies of NTT #2 ready to head to Sarasota next week.
  10. Black Canary > Starfire I have not read Canary, but I am not a fan of the artwork. Starfire was fun and the artwork was very good. The 1:25 variant has some decent interest so far.......
  11. Thanks. The combination of eye appeal and good prices for the low grades are the reason I picked them up. I figured that they would make nice speculative under copies over the next couple of years.
  12. Here are a couple of recent returns from Sarasota. They are not high grade, but at least the page quality is decent.
  13. For example, Ed Norton had one of the memorable screen debuts in history and had two Oscar nominations on his resume before he ever heard of the Hulk Maybe a more accurate description would be that Ed Norton was a former star that was on the decline?
  14. I hope they do not do it, but I can imagine a Magic Mike spoof in the film at some point.
  15. It will be fine out here in the prairies - slightly warmer weather, longer growing seasons, potentially more rainfall (depending on the projection) and no risk of coastal plain flooding.
  16. I wonder what a Canadian newsstand copy would fetch?
  17. Exactly. There is not enough to judge the movie on now. I thought GoTG would suck big time, but I think it is my favorite Marvel movie now.
  18. You can still find great deals on multi-key buys and collections up here. The stores still pay 25-30% for collections, so even offering 40% is a big difference. It also helps that we are buying at a 20% discount rate thanks to the currently weak $CDN.
  19. That must be for the 2nd print. It is down for 131,128 in April.
  20. It depends on the seller. With more material coming to the market you can be pickier with where you buy from. I have leads on a couple of collections I am going to pursue this summer where it appears that the owners want to sell the keys/bigger books first in order to preserve the rest of the collection.
  21. I think it will be two years and then the Brand New All New Right Now Marvel Now reboot will commence.
  22. And sales of All New Brand New Marvel Now will drop in 10....9.....8.... without them
