  1. Looks like that 2.0 a local seller has priced at $3000 at shows may not be that far off soon enough.
  2. It's a tough book period. But, there are still a lot of BA collections out there, and by it's nature (even with the internet) it is a very personal and private affair. This is the one book I have never found in 9.4+ in any DC/Batman centric collection I have picked up. The main Batman issues (227, 232, 234, 251, etc.) and Tec issues (395, 400) are easy to land in high grade, but the post-400 Tec books tend to be hit and miss condition wise in the collections. Tec #405 (1st League of Assassins) is another tough book in high grade (9.4+).
  3. Very nice! It will be interesting to see where it settles out at. There is still a decent amount of time before the Justice League movies hit.
  4. Looks like I have to start listing. I won a Heritage auction 2-3 years ago for around $140 that had a complete run of NM with multiples. The #98 came back at 9.6, and I believe the #87 from the run was only a 9.4. The nice thing was that one of the issues with heavy multiples was #1 with 10 or so copies (there were the same number of #100s (1st and 2nd printings) and #87 2nd as well).
  5. What was the best offer that was accepted. I still kick myself for backing out on the then one and only 9.6 copy on Clink for a whopping $800. This was right after Talia was announced as being in the movie. I had a 9.2 at the time and did not expect my offer to trigger an auto accept so I did not follow through.
  6. It looks like the book may have some heat. This seller has supposedly sold two in the past hour at $34.99 apiece. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Captain-Marvel-14-June-2015-Black-Vortex-Marvel-NM-Condition-VHTF-/221772973244?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33a2b304bc
  7. It has been selling the past year and a bit for $8 - $10 here locally. Here's hoping I will be selling the 8-10 remaining copies from an auction lot last year for $20 now.......
  8. That range seems good for now, with the seller likely asking for $5000.
  9. What did I miss? They confirmed the identity of the new Thor. And a lot of speculators got burned with that other recent Thor book.
  10. With non-SS copies hitting as high as $2000 just $2200 is a steal for that SS copy. Go for it!
  11. There are a couple of extensive discussions of this in threads in the Copper Age forum. Interesting especially considering both are BA books SW 42 Dec 1980 MSS 16 Spring 1980 Or are they copper?
  12. I am curious to see how this book performs closer to the movie. Right now we are seeing a decent run up with still plenty of time before BvSDOJ followed by two Justice League movies (2017 & 2019). I wonder if it can close the gap with SC #4 more significantly similar to what we have seen with AF #15 and Hulk #1 so there are the big two DC SA keys, instead of just one?
  13. Here is my 4.5. I have been debating whether I should press and resub it.
  14. I disagree. I will be selling them for $10 or more at shows all year long and into next year as well.
  15. Agreed. I still need another copy to go with my 4.5, though.
  16. Here is a new addition that gets me back into the Showcase club. I passed on it raw for just a bit less than what I paid for it graded which was nice.
  17. I asked to see the back cover because this is what the grader's notes said: Full Bottom Back Cover Marvel Chipping Left Top Front Cover Small Tear Left Top Whole Book Stain Right Top Front Cover Crease Breaks Color Spine Wear Staple Multiple Rusted Here is the reply I got from them: Hi Ryan , back cover is very clean with no hidden defects , and there is already the largest size scan of the front available on ebay , you are also welcome to come and view in person if you like, Regards Based on the notes, it does not sound like the back cover is very clean with no hidden defects to me.
  18. Same with the 4.0 Silver-Acre had on eBay. It was below $4K, I asked for back cover scan, and now it is just under $5K.
  19. The only LCS that has copies out that I have seen is pricing them at $10 for the regular 1st prints now.
  20. Are you upset about that? I would be happy to get rid of them and get something in return. I'm never upset selling at a price I put on ...regardless of future... he turned around and sold them all for $5-10 each...good for him (thumbs u Bloodshot #7? or do you mean #6? which ever is first appearance of someone (that's how much attention I paid)... Sounds like your 10/$1 boxes are worth picking through then.........
  21. I would be interested in your 5.5 at that price...... no one at the cons were...but, I realize that certain books sell better in certain venues... With 5.0s going for $5500 now, you could probably get $6K for a nice 5.5 now.
  22. that there is a 2nd print variant with the women of the Justice League version.
