I like the fact that as more copies surface the prices are getting lower - might be time to buy a nicer mid grade copy sooner than later.............

If it follows the pattern of other keys, the prices will drop a bit post movie once the hype dies down. Might be a good time to buy then............

Looking at the damage, the paper is probably a bit tanned on the inside therefore the corners will flake off more easily........either that or we can say bug/rat chew instead. In any case, it looks like a weak 4.0 based on the scans and sold accordingly.

That 4.0 looked very weak for the grade so the final price was okay with me. It was basically a 3.5 in a 4.0 label from the looks of the chipping. Looks like people are buying the book instead of the label.

to pay 23900 for a 8.0 that looks like an avg 8.0 one would "assume" they might have had some pressing thoughts about it ? Still very nice even if no possible potential. with multiple sales in the 17K range, almost 24K is not comparable to me Do you feel this copy has potential? The slight rusted staples is a somewhat turn-off, but great copy overall. You can always buy a 2.0 with nice staples and replace them..............but it would have to lose the pedigree status.

I think I posted my opinion on the grade here a few pages ago, but I do not feel it is even a low end 8.0 based on other books I have had graded/owned in the past with similar wear.......

It`s crazy. GL 1 is just not that hard to find. Cr/Ow none the less... True enough, but how many 6.0+ copies have been on the market recently? There was a flurry of 7.0s that traded hands in early to mid 2009, but it has been quiet since then. True,i know of 1 nice 7.0 that just sold recently tho... It went for just under $3,000, right? Anything less than that would be a steal................

It is interesting to see how high the GL #1 CGC 6.0 is already in the Feb Clink focused auction. Yes, definitely. I think it's affecting SC23 and 24 also. Anyway high grade 10cts DC are so rare, they MUST be valuable. It's crazy to see AF15 so expensive when you see the number of copy going around DC rules I think I might test the waters with a 7.0 GL #1 on eBay to see what the current market is. Now where is that GL 1 7.0. I will post it to eBay this weekend and see what I can get with a "reasonable" BIN starting price. Your copy should draw interest. I am going to start it out at $2700 and see what happens.
