  1. I thought it ended up someplace here. (thumbs u
  2. Don't feel bad. I sold a raw 2.5/3.0 and a raw 3.0/3.5 (or something like that) for about $600 total and then they both flipped for double that a few weeks later. I had no idea how hot the book was. I don't. I did well with the other copies I owned. Gone are the good old days of paying $1200 - $1300 for slabbed 5.0s. It was fun contacting all of the online comic dealers just as things were starting to take off and paying full asking price for the few copies I could find. Most of them were still unaware of its popularity at the time..............
  3. Yes. I will have to double check on the exact price though as it might have only been for $550 or $575 thinking about it further. If I recall correctly, it had OW pages as well.
  4. I really wish I had held onto that 2.0/2.5 I had last year that I bought for $450 or so and sold for $600.
  5. The list is of "known" info....owners/high sales....that's all, nothing else. Any other sales/owners supplied data will be added. Well said. (thumbs u Also, all copies have to be blue label and the high grade list contains only 6.0+ owners. Elitist.
  6. I hope you and Ryan both resolved to pump harder in 2011. You'll be thanking us when we finally get around to Adventure #247 and early Legion appearances. I guess I should give you guys my undercopies so you`ll be incentivized. Well, I do know that a cgc 1.5/1.8 Adventure #247 sold a year or so ago for $1100 no questions asked at a local show....... In that case I retract my offer. Sorry, I meant $110, not $1100 - feel free to send them my way.
  7. Very nice copy! Seems to be a lot nicer than a 8.5. It probably got nailed for the upper spine wear. Definitely a nice copy. (thumbs u

  9. It will be interesting to see where the 4.5 ends up in the Clink January Focused auction. The book looks a bit weak for the grade to me based on the front cover scan.
  10. Holy - look at the price on this one already: http://cgi.ebay.com/Showcase-22-CGC-2-5-/150545738180?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230d39a9c4
  11. Interesting. Looks like eBay might be a good place to try listing a few books for the movie.......

  13. How does that compare to other restored FN range copies price-wise?
  14. Just like we tolerate their interests in shoes and clothing, instead of sharing them.
  15. That is why you should only "brag" about the reasonable sales. What she doesn't know can't be turned into shoes!
  16. Take it from me, it will never be enough Ditto. The more you make, the higher her expectations go!
  17. Trimming is all or nothing, there is no slightly What the seller might be trying to say is that it was a bad microtrim job that CGC detected.
  18. I would have been shocked if it had been an 8.5 without the rust. That crease along the top right corner/edge is what, close to 3" long? I wonder if the slight hint of color breaking crease along the corner you mention was not alarming by the graders. There is also a slight and more hint crease in GL's foot . Being a pedigree and the most prestigious book in the collection, it will get a $ premium boost. Does anyone have a close up of the back cover to see if there is any damage on it? The book received a grade boost for the looks of things for being a pedigree as well.

  20. No, but it should a bit........ That being said, there is a bit too much creasing due to the overhang along the top edge for my liking on an 8.0. I have seen common books dropped for that. Guess it got the key book bump? Also, is it just me or is there a faint stain/soiling in the middle of the right side of the book?
  21. Has a copy of SC 22 sold for over $100K? I would think a SC22 9.4 would sell for more than a BB28 in 9.4. There is no such thing currently. Therefore B&B 28 in 9.4 continues to be the 3rd most valuable SA DC book, behind the 9.6 and 9.4 copies of Showcase 4. Would a 9.4 SC #22 top a 9.4 SC #4 right now is the bigger question in my mind. With the emergence of the 9.6 I doubt that a 9.4 SC #4 would come anywhere close to its high price now. B&B #28 is a great book, and it will be interesting to see if/when it finally takes its big jump. Right now, though, a 9.4 SC #22 would likely top it, but in 2 years it might be a different story. FWIW, I expect SC #22 to eventually end up as #1 if the GL movie franchise does well.
  22. Soon, you will go over to the dark side and become a 9.4 or above SA DC elitist like a couple of others on the boards.
  23. Very nice! Another gorgeous early GL. Do you have a copy of #1 or #7 in similar condition to the #2 and #3?
  24. Time will tell, but I think SC #22 has more staying power price wise for the simple fact that DC keys, except for SC #4, had/have not had their big jump in prices yet. FWIW, it was an above guide book for 6.0 and higher copies prior to the big run up a year or so ago. I do expect it to pull back after the movie regardless of how the flick does just like most other movie related keys have done, but the days of paying sub $1500 prices for 5.0s are long gone now unfortunately.
