I'm on team 6.5. It's just so much cleaner than the Silver Surfer #4 5.5 I just got back and would be an 8 I were king of the world. But since I'm not, and the CGC hammers stains I think it's going to really hold the grade down. Hopefully the stain being on the back allows for a little more upside than the 6.0 that they hit me with on this book due to staining.

It’s almost like the whole outer edge was cut by a dull blade. Still, a beautiful book. 8.5/9.0 -

I think you're at 8.5-9.0. I own a 7.5 of this book, and yours looks significantly better than mine. -

I feel your pain. I have a beautiful book with a stain like yours (front cover though) that's over a darker section so it's really hard to see. Came back a 6.0. Don't know if I'll ever get over it. -
Please to spare a grade FF48

I think they'll crush you on the stains. 3.0-3.5 as is, 3.5-4.0 with a good press and clean -
Looks like a contender to me. Can’t really tell but is there a little bit of spine roll?

Feels like removing the added staples is the way to go then. It's a real shame, because it's a nice copy otherwise.

Are the original staples still there? Looks like it from the back but I can't tell.

I’m in the 7.0-7.5 range, but I don’t feel confident about it at all. The spine is nicer than I’d expect, but the top edge has me concerned.

PGM FF121 with Magenta Blob
Lninefingers replied to Lninefingers's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

Really curious what people think of this book, particularly about the magenta blob on the cover. Of course I can't be certain, but it doesn't look like it was added after the fact (there's no bleed through the cover at all) so I'm guessing that it's some sort of printing error. Do people agree that it's a printing error? If yes, how does the CGC handle this when it comes to grades? Ignored? Thanks for your thoughts - trying to learn here.

Sorry, Dad joke. Australian merely because the picture is upside down.

Recognizing that my performance in the recent grading contest limits the value of my opinion - a grade lower than 7.5 or greater than 8.5 for this book would really surprise me, so 8.0?

Can you give a little more info on the line on the right side below the leg? Almost looks like a wrinkle, but I can't tell.
