  1. Grades in. Did my typical "make guesses, wait for a couple days to forget, make guesses again and compare" strategy. I don't think I've ever had my initial guesses and 2nd guesses be so far apart. Not looking forward to the reveal on this round...
  2. I write my grades down on paper right when when it starts and set it aside. Then I look a couple days later after I've forgotten and write down grades. Then I pull the 1st grades out and average them with the 2nd.
  3. Appreciate it. Just don’t know what to think here. The book is beautiful from the front, but the lighter blue runs the entire length of the book on the back. Have you ever pre screened with CGC? Maybe that’s the play here? thanks again
  4. I wouldn’t risk it. 6.0 feels high to me, honestly.
  5. Looks like a printing error(?) on the back to me. The Blue is lighter in a couple of big vertical stripes. Not sure what if anything this does to the grade. Thanks for looking
  6. Maybe half a dozen small spine tics, but otherwise pretty good/pressable. Thanks for looking
  7. Small mark upper rear right corner, other wise pretty clean. Thanks for looking.
  8. Twinsies! Supersnipe - 5.0 (3) Super Mystery - 4.0 (1) Horrific - 2.5 Perfect Crime - 3.5 War Action 7.0 (1)
  9. Nice to see a fellow fan in the wild. Cheers. I have some optimism on this one because I have a Thor 168 with a lot of browning front and back cover that came back an 8.5. Good luck!
  10. After a press, I think this is 7.5-ish. I've had decent luck with them not hitting browning too hard on an otherwise nice book.
  11. This is where my head's at as well. I think there's a fair amount of spread between where this book is today and what it would press to, but where it ends up isn't that special. Thanks for the input, everyone.
  12. The spine ticks are the headliner for issues, although there are some non-color breaking bends too. The color breaks at the spine are obviously there to stay, but I think the bends are a good candidate for pressing. thanks for looking
  13. All comes down to the reddish stuff in the corner (front and back). If they consider that a stain I think they bust this book all the way down to a 6.0
  14. I was higher until I got to the pictures of the back. Still presents decently, but I have this at around a 4
  15. Not sure yet. I use my LCS to press and submit for me, so it arrived back at the LCS and my guy let me know that it was cracked. So I haven’t actually held it in my hands yet. I do think the color breaking crease right front lower corner is what held this book back - it’s a pretty long crease.
  16. Back from the CGC with a 7.0 that I’m very pleased with. Unfortunately the slab has a crack so it’s back off to be reholdered. thanks to all that provided feedback
  17. With the spine tics and (chipping?) on the lower edge and the crease lower right corner I'm going to say 6.5 with really big error bars around that number - need better pictures for a more confident assessment. Quite jealous of the book though - DD1 is one I'm still searching for.
