  1. I think this could get to a 7 after pressing
  2. I'm squinting, but do I see a chip out in the middle of the back cover on the left? And a small stain higher up? Could knock it down to the 7.5 range.
  3. looks like a 6.0/6.5 to me with a tape pull(?) on the leg and the crease on the lower corner
  4. 5.0 would feel generous to me. I think you're a notch or two below that
  5. my head says 6.5 but my heart says 7.0
  6. I vote now because I think I actually have enough entries now to join the list! (although seriously, whenever is best for you - your work is super appreciated)
  7. 6 points for me this round, I’ll take it. I saw the crease on WoS, but went 7.5 because of how well it presents otherwise. (I actually own an ASM129 with a longer crease that’s a 7.0) I’ll guess 9.8 in honor of May the 4th, and echo the comments of others - great contest, tons of fun, and I always learn something. thanks Mike!
  8. I don't think the grade is going up with a reattached cover and it wouldn't be cheap to do, so unless you're allergic to the slab I wouldn't. Edit: the auto censored thing is funny. I guess I should have said "non-CGC"
  9. And if everyone submits now, we can all get confirmation of my humiliating defeat a day early!
  10. Book could benefit from a press, and issues are primarily in the lower left corner - otherwise the colors are nice and bright and ‘feels new’ for lack of a better way of describing. thanks for looking!
  11. I'm right there with you. And on the other side of the coin, you see books with barely visible stains that get hammered mercilessly. It just seems that there's a disconnect between how these books would be received "in the wild" versus the grade treatment they receive.
