  1. Zeck has, hands down, the best sig and placement. Beautiful books, y'all.
  2. That whole post reads like copypasta. It hits nearly every stereotype and trope of a comic book person.
  3. Worst is VG+ because of a tear on the back cover, best is VF/NM. Most around VF and very much improvable.
  4. Ha! It's not and I don't remember where this picture even came from. Probably 2010-ish stupid google image search.
  5. The new honey hole delivered some decent stuff. But then!
  6. Finally have a chance to look at this out of the bag tonight. 90% black with purple in the corners. Newsstand, too.
  7. Huh? You said you spec'd on these. I said if you did, you did fine. You don't buy a spec book and typically hold onto it for 30 years. That's not really how it works, typically. And even still, if you sold today, you'd still do ok considering buying at cover. That's rad you're putting your money into GA and SA books. I mainly do that, too. Not sure how that changes what you originally said and what I responded to.
  8. That’s a whole lot of text to say you didn’t sell when you should have. Or again when they popped several years ago. Or now.
  9. Just found a Wolverine 75 today that's 75% black with some blue around the edges. Same as before: VERY humid storage and in the same bag for 25+ years.
  10. Normally, dig it. But also look at that top left corner crease. And the funk going on on the bottom staple. Basically, I missed some things and now I'm amazed it hit the grade I originally thought it was. It's a combination of a Me problem and a CGC inconsistency.
  11. I think it might be regional or from the whims of the ordering manager at a particular location. The little corner convenient store where I bought all my comics as a kid had a surprisingly large selection of Dark Horse and Image - at least from my memory. Same for Books-A-Million around the time this would have been out.
  12. I would have never called this a 9.8 but now it's official like a referee blowing a whistle. Who knew water spots were fine?
  13. Certainly weaving a fanciful narrative. I personally can't wait to return to the economic paradise that was 1890s America. Free at last...
  14. This is just so ridiculous. "We have endured..." What? In what sane world is the the pre-1900 economic reality even close to something to be excited to be returning to? I swear, you LARPer weirdos need a better hobby.
  15. If USPS is no longer an option, I will not be renewing my membership. That simple.
  16. But mainly for the increased value ceiling. It's $400 vs $1000.
  17. They were in those 90s thick bags, for sure. Good call.
  18. You've hated this character for years. Is there a chance that, maybe, it's not written for you? But also, she was so poorly written and acted in DS2.
  19. What a wild ride. Glad you got your money back and that suckssss you missed out on that book. Here's to hoping you get it for half in the near future.
  20. So I'm sure you guys have talked about the conditions for how these things happen but here's my anecdotal take since the chances of finding all distorted holograms in one box is pretty astronomically rare: Humidity is the catalyst for the distortions or at least contributes. These were kept in a non temperature controlled garage in Florida and REEKED like mildew when I took them out of their bags. Somehow they dodged foxing or mold like Neo in the Matrix, though. The only other times I've found holograms this distorted were from collections that were stored in humid conditions in the southeast.
