  1. JML used to have a very cool checklist of all of his work on his site. Hope he puts it back out there when and if he ever gets the new site done. I don't know of any other resource.
  2. One of my favorite covers Is that cover by Linsner? Dawn's face looks distinctly different on this cover than any other I have seen. Yeah it is - but I can see the differences you're talking about. She may have lost some weight and grew her hair out - her cheeks aren't as rounded and hair not as long in his other renditions of her. Maybe it's a different incarnation of her in the book. I haven't read Three Tiers yet. Joe often pulls un-published art that he's already created and uses it in a published work (con programs, covers, sketch books, cards, etc.). I'm not saying that's what he's done with this one. However, Dawn was much more slender in the face and hips during his early work, like she is in this cover. Could be art that he created in the mid 90's that got used on this cover (2003/2004?) .
  3. Love this cover This is on the wall of my office.
  4. They are pretty good reads, but not for everyone. They are somewhere between twilight zone and an x-rated version of creep show.
  5. There's no difference between the limited and regular edition covers. They just tipped in the centerfold poster (which was done in color and on a different paper stock) on 1500 of them, which was slightly more economical than doing a whole new cover. I am at work and can't check, but I believe the inserted poster was printed only on one side. The way the limiteds progressed were #4 was simply signed and numbered, #5 had the poster and starting with #6 they went to exclusive covers. You are correct, the centerfold for the #5 limited was added to the book after the fact. If you look at both books, there is a visible difference in that there's a third staple on the limited. The top and bottom staples are there and go through all but the centerfold and the middle staple goes through the entire book, including the centerfold. Middle is not present on the normal book. I actually found a #5 limited in a $5 box at the Gem City Con two years ago by spotting the third staple.
  6. There are three versions. First Print Second Print Limited Edition (1500 signed books with a special nude centerfold of Dawn)
  7. I'm a big fan of the covers with Cernunnos, here are my top two...
  8. This book is the grail for me as well. From all the research ive done on this ashcan I keep finding the print run being stated as 100 copies for the first print in 1989 and 50 copies for the second print from 1990/1 , the second print was only included in the Binder edition of CFD 1-3 which was limited to 50 copies. Those are my two grails. The first print ashcan of Sex and death and the binder edition of CFD 1-3.
  9. Received a nice stack of books from Barton today. Tightly graded, packed well, and shipped fast. Perfect all the way around. Thanks!
  10. Guessing this guys in TX. The email you posted (acres78319@aol.com) and the photobucket account that was used to post the MS #5 (going78109) both look to have TX zips that are near San Antonio.
  11. Hey, this handsome boardie asked a pretty good question. Can anybody answer this strapping gentleman's query? My understanding is that the CGC Admins want nothing to do with the policing of the sales forum and that it was only created with the understanding the members would have to police it themselves. Exactamundo. As long as that "policing" does not include any policing within the very sales threads that the community is supposed to police. If that happens, then the admins will police those doing the policing.
  12. or read his pm's Did you email his Paypal account email address? If he hasn't read it or responded by monday I'll open a case. May want to reach out to thunsicker since he purchased the x-men book in his other thread (if you haven't already) I havn't. If you read back I've been posting in here ever since he accepted my $300 shipped to Canada offer on his original $600 book. He said he would ship it out that day. Hours later I asked for a tracking number and he said it would go out tomorrow morning at the latest (today). So yeah - not really too concerned. He's a paypal business member AND I have paypal protection. I wouldn't have a warm and fuzzy feeling just because it's a business account. There looks to be a loophole there that actually makes this more risky than a personal account. I'll PM you with details.
  13. I believe it will be considered thread-crapping, based on Bosco's previous conversations with the Mods. I would think, that by taking a stand against the community policing HOS/POS transactions from taking place, the mod's are culpable for something going wrong. Say I purchase the books without knowing that this guy has done things and someone's "thread crapping" or notice that the seller had went astray in the past was removed by a mod. Wouldn't the CGC forum be doing what they said they wouldn't, policing sales? I would think this is a slippery slope for the forum.
  14. It gets done everytime someone on the POS/HOS posts a sales thread. Why should this guy be any different?
  15. Was this Lloyd's thread? Anyone know what happened to it? About an hour ago I posted in response to someone thread craping about it not being the wolverine prototype. I told them there were threads to discuss that, but it wasn't in a sales thread. Now the threads gone. You mean this "gone" thread? It's right here, http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=78&page=2 http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7283816#Post7283816 Ah, see it back out there now. Looks like it's been worked over by a mod to remove the comments.

  17. I'm going to post this here, given the thread in CG has turned into a hot mess. Than maybe you should have paid for him to ship the book to you? How can someone who asks for so many favours not have a paypal account? Seriously. I usually.send.cash or a.money order.depending on what.the person asks for. I've had more than one boardie send me cash for books purchased in the market place. Not a money order, not a check, but cash in an envelope. Despite the 30+ pages of entertaining gif's, I'm not sure what has been established. Was a book sent to Branget and is he holding it until the OP pays shipping fees?
