seriously a) there are a hell of a lot of people on this board that care nothing but the upper left number on the label. b) there are a hell of a lot of people that don't care where the books came from. Old label CPR, newly discovered books from someone's basement, etc.. c) there are some good detectives on this board that will research a book before they buy or interested in for whatever reasons. d) You have a very good eyes for upgradeable books as well as having the balls to role the dice on resub them pressed or not. If a buyer that bought your books before and don't care about the history, none of this matter because the all mighty top left number is all that matter. We have seen countless people over the years got chastise for trying to flip a book for a quick profit when prior sale record just weeks if not days existed on Heritage or CL so it is the reality of flipping and the potential headaches selling here.

Lets leave Dan or any sellers out of the specific but in general just so I am clear about the debates here in the past couple of days. Outside of Bob and a few people, the majority seem to be ok with cracking a Pedigree slab, press it or not but resub it without the old label for whatever reason is ok whether it is an intent (not retaining the Pedigree) or not on disclosure of a press.

updated...I no longer update the list with Pedigree or Ha auctions since they are in GPA. The list will be revised with just CL activities since those are not reported to GPA and the list will provide a nice comparison. 9.6 ow/w - 4/11 Metro private sale - $200k (Mound City copy pressed up) 9.4 ow/w - 11/11 CL auction - $90k 9.4 w - 5/11 Pedigree auction - OVER $100K but reserve not met 9.4 ow/w - 4/11 CL auction - $100k but reserve not met 9.4 ow - 11/09 Mound Auction - $106,050 9.4 ow/w - 2/10 CL auction - $101,002 9.4 ow/w - 4/10 Pedigree - $100,000 9.4 - ow 5/10 CL auction - $105,521 9.2 - CL auction - $55,000? 9.2 cr/ow 2/11 CL auction - $44,000 9.2 ow/w - 8/10 CL auction - $49,000 9.2 ow - comiclink marketplace sale 8/10 - sold same day listed - $57,500 9.2 - Pedigree - $55,000 (1/10) 9.2 - 2/10 CL auction - $47,177 9.2 - 6/10 QualityComix - $48,000 9.0 - ow - 1/11 Pedigree auction - $24,751 9.0 - ow/w - 1/11 CL auction - $24,100 9.0 - ow - PRIVATE SALE - $28,500 9.0 - ow 11/10 Heritage auction - $28,680..same price as the one in 8/10 9.0 - ow/w 8/10 Heritage auction - $28,680...coincidently the same price this book exchanged hands back on 5/09 at Heritage...what the odd of that heh? 9.0 - ow - 5/10 CL auction - $22,849 9.0 - ow - QualityComix 4/10 auction - $26,100 reserve not met 9.0 ow - 3/10 CL sale - $27,950 9.0 ow, date stamp on cover - 1/10 CL auction - $22,507 (1/10) 9.0 cr/ow - Ebay - 3/10 - $25,100 same book as the one right below..nice flip for Adams 9.0 cr/ow - CL sale - $22,000 (1/10) 8.5 - ow/w - private sale - $14,000 8.5 ow - 11/10 CL auction - $12,750 8.5 ow/w - CL 6/10 auction - $12,506 8.5 ow - 1/10 CL auction - $12,575 (1/10) mine, going to a good home I hope. I think it will resurface shortly as a 7.0 ow after some cpr. as far as the 9.4 didn't crack $100k, lets see how the next 9.4 do. One book doesn't say much about future trend....just as the $137k 9.4 white copy that Doug sold. White page is very rare with X-men #1. That being said...2 years ago, we had 6 9.4 slabs and then starting from the Mound copy, census has increased to 12...freaking 12 9.4 books...is there another mega Silver age keys with SO MANY uber high grade books? It is remarkable that when I bought my 8.5 copy way back in 2003, there were 37 total copies from 8.5 to 9.8. Fast forward 8 years, and now we have 78 copies from 8.5 to 9.8.....more than double.

$90k on the 9.4 just finished on cl Finally, a 9.4 can't hold the $100k level

Give him a little while. He got a virus from photobucket. He's going through his little black book in search of someone he can trust to post the picture. New Thread: Photobucket me. Photobucket me Indeed, how dare they ask me to pay to upgrade my free account since I jacked up my account with my sale thread and all the scans.

here come the back peddling....next it will be, "I understand grading is somewhat subjective"...and conclude in "my grading skill is asstrocious"
-
you left out the $10 shipping cost of returning the book

nice X-men #40....sharp looking book (thumbs u As I am sitting here grading and scanning the next batch of book to sell tomorrow. I wrestled with 2 books for a while and decided they are keepers..off the hook nice and I just can't part with them. the TOT 90 has a tiny spot of stain on the bc but it is just so nice to keep in Mylar to look at. -

Robojo33 sells slabs too and many boycott doing business with him regardless if the book is raw or slab. Same with me for this guy...don't care what he has to offer. Sadly as long as enough people keep buying from these types of sellers...eBay will thrive -
Since the list is getting real long, I decided to update the list with just CL transactions since Pedigree, Ha and Ebay can be found with GPA.
