I believe that copy (his) was on CL and the hammer was around $43k or something close to that. I was bidding until it went over $40k....and yes, he did pay $23k or something close to that from Pedigree back in 2006/2007 I think.

Ok, Now that I am starting to unpack boxes and boxes of books, I have organized 400 high grade raw bronzes to sell in lots. If you are fan of high grade white pages raw Bronze books 8.5 to 9.6 in lots averaging $1 to $3 per book..take a look tomorrow...most books are 9.2 or above. Titles will include Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Invaders, Godzilla, Black Panther, Eternals, Red Sonja, Conan, Ms Marvel, Peter Parker Spectacular Spiderman, Spider Woman, Green Lantern, Flash and whatever else I can organize during the week. I think CGC is super duper tough on giving 9.9 to anything prior to 1980. It does happen but so rare and I submitted enough flawless books that didn't get 9.9 that I gave up hoping and wishing.

the 9.9 is elusive for Bronze indeed. I never thought after so many submissions of so many books that I thought were flawless, not one came back 9.9

looks like the ever slight improvement of the upper left corner was good enough for the grade bump. The rest of that book must near near flawless.

this book was posted earlier in this thread last year but I saved the image FantasticFour posted it and according to him, all the 9.6 and 9.8 are white pagers. I don't recall seeing a 9.0 to 9.4 in white pages in the past 2 years...at least not in any of the auctions or Ebay. As far as checking the rest, the only way i know is to use GPA and gets all the cert # and then check them one by one...too much hassle for me I

Indeed...like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get. I am boxing up things to move and clearing under the beds and closets...and among the "junks", there are a few nuggets.
