Little bit of a dust shadow on the bc from the HA scan but it went pretty cheap and i've been wanting a nice 27 for awhile so im definitely stoked!

 

Do those cases offer any UV light protection? I wonder if you could buy window tint or some sort of UV tint sheets. Very nice display cases

 

You are asking if Ikea provide UV protection??? 9 time out of ten they don't even provide screws.

For a company with such a laxidaisical approach to ensuring that self assembly pack contain the right amount of parts, they are **Spoon** hot on monitoring staff discounts.

 

I'm hoping to pick up a couple of the glass display cabinets myself later in the summer (Summer - Ha....) for my soon to be complated man-cave.

Love those DC statues! I wanted to get the light for my "Detolf" but I don't like how there's no way to hide the cord.

Yeah, I was just thinking that as well. Since its al glass, there's just no possible way to hide it. I guess though if you run it right down the back edge though, it will minimize how much it shows just a little

It's a little annoying but I'd rather have the light from how good it looks in that pic even if the cord does show a little.

The lights that work on the detolfs are the actual ikea lights sold for them. They sell them in 4 packs for like $30.00 or something. I have 1 installed now, still need to install the others.

My room is a mess, but I cleared enough to take this pic of one of my Ikeas with the light on.

This is my DC one, the other is for my Marvels. I dont have the room for more of these, so im going to put up shelves for the rest.

What kind of statues are those? I WISH I could do that with mine but most of the Bowens I have won't fit on the Detolf shelves so I can't put them in it That's the ONLY thing I don't like about the Detolfs is that the shelves aren't adjustable. I wish I could adjust them so there are just 3 shelves instead of 4 and then could fit almost all of my Bowen statues in there instead of on my bookcase. Seeing that dang pic now REALLY makes me wish you could adjust them even more because that looks sweet as hell with all the statues in there!

Not to mention how much better it looks with the light you have which no one at my ikea can't seem to figure out where or if they even sell them!!!

I just noticed also that it looks like the slab pro that fits the best is on the GS Xmen1 which is one of the fatter slabs.

Was that just a standard Slabpro or do they come in different sizes? I actually like them but they just didnt fit well on a regular size slab imo and i dont like the way it sags on the 1 i have. If they fit nice and tight though on the larger slabs, i'll definitely buy a handful more to display some of my books that are in those fatter slabs.

I bought a Slab pro a few weeks ago at my LCS to see if i liked them. Pretty cool but my only complaint is they dont fit quite snug enough on the book imo. Looks like from your pic some are more snug than the others maybe. Mine isnt quite snug enough and sags down over the label a little worse than your Iron Fist 14 one does. If they fit just a little more snug i'd like it much better

Not a book but for a BA Avengers junkie like me, this is as awesome as it comes! Found this at a LCS like an hour away and bought two. I wish I had bought the other two in my size and definitely will grab them the next time I'm up there. For me, anything that has Vision AND Yellowjacket on it is pure awesomeness!!! The only way this possibly could be better is if they threw Ms Marvel on it

I'm wearing this until it molds together with my flesh I think!

To Sufunk: Yeah, old house are great, the craftsmanship that they used to employ back then just cant be matched today. Nothing against new houses, it just wasn't an option my wife and I even thought about.

That front yard is probably considered tiny up there but here in South Florida that is HUGE! To get a front yard like that, you either gotta drop 2 million or live out in the boonies of unincorporated Broward county!

I'd kill for my kids to have a yard like that! You can practically spit from my front door and hit the street

My wife and I and our three kids live in a 1200 square foot ranch house. It is crowded to say the least. I have always been envious of all the cool comic rooms you guys post on the boards. I've managed to scrounge out a "comic corner" in our current house.

 

All that is about to change, we are moving to a much larger house and the best part is it has 5 bedrooms...one more than we need. You know what that means? That's right baby, a whole comic room for myself, my wife even gave me the approval...ok well, sort of, it's a comic room slash guest room, but I'll take what I can get. Best part is, when my parents come to visit they get to sleep in there. It will drive them absolutely crazy that I never completely grew up and I still collect comics to this day....bwwahahahaha!!!!!!
