Are there any reviews on this movie yet?  To be honest I do not think most of us care about the opening weekend $, but rather is movie going to blow us away? :wishluck:

  2.        Walking down the aisles and I see a guy with a bunch of keys and most of them weren't priced stupidly but one stuck out to me.  Hulk #181 CGC 7.5 priced at $4,200.  We strike up a conversation and I mention that I think the #181 is priced wrong, and someone probably inverted the $4,200 when it should have been $2,400.  He says oh yeah you are right, I think that was my partner.  He grabs the post it note, and crumples it up.  Come walking by an hour later, and there is a new Post it Note with a new $4,200 price tag...it was awesome. :cloud9:

Sorry - but if I converted my USD to Canadian dollars, and paid the same US seller, I would pay exactly what you do.  Your dollar is worth .71 what 1 USD is worth.  The cost is the same.

Average household median income in Canada is 72k, in the US it’s 52k, adjust it to reflect the exchange rate and bam it’s actually easier for the average CDN to collect comic books than it is an American.

It's something I've considered but that's such a pain too (driving time to and from, a PO box charge, gas, ruining a weekend morning or afternoon, and not to mention the possibility of having some type of tax/duty charge when I return anyways).  I have a 2.5 year old and another one on the way next month, there's really no way I can bounce from the house for a full morning or afternoon to go get some comics 2 hours away.

Wish CGC would choose to open a Canadian location.  Without it, its really prohibitive for us to get stuff graded.  Last time I did, I got a huge tax/duty bill on return.

Erndog:  You know you would just inform the government that they were your goods shipped to the US for evaluation purposes only and sent back, and you'd get all your money back correct?

I also have been waiting for a year. I’m in to Paradise on a fairly regular basis and Jeff does try his best. However I can only assume that he has ZERO control over the CGC account nor any access to it since it belongs to the old owner. Kristina is apparently his wife and has been terrible at answering emails. She is also inaccessible so going into the store does nothing and she can’t be reached by phone. I’ve tried to deal with CGC as well but the absolute most I’ve ever gotten from them is “we have them” but we’re telling you nothing, deal with your local store. I’ve been hammering this from both ends but am getting nowhere.

Regular submissions with the CGC booth are fine so I don’t know what the problem is.

Jeff wouldn't be the owner, and there is no old owner, just the same that that has owned it since about 2000.

Living in Londinium as as I do, the benefit I see is being able to take my books in in person and hand them to CGC directly, with no one else involved. No post office,  no authorised dealer. Just me and CGC.

God I love authorised spelt with an S, I wish more of us Canadians would spell it this way, but I have a hard enough battle when I hear a Canadian use the term Zee, always stops me dead in my tracks.
