Pretty impressive how Wizard has managed to take their largest US show and give it a comic book line-up that wouldn't be out of place at a Saturday show at a Holiday Inn in Des Moines. And here I thought last years guestlist was weak
Mike: I have no idea what makes a guest list from a great guest list but Grell, O'Barr, Vigil and Ant Lucia aren't good gets?

A:) I would stop using CPG or whatever you are using...sound like a useless tool.
B:) You (most likely) don't have a 10 or even a 9.9 in your stack.
C:) My Comic Shop has them on EBay for $1.70 in NM and there are no takers

Haha, a pretty safe goal given the "punishment"... I assume that goal would've required you to sell that AF15 6.0? Thx for letting me take a selfie with it
That's exactly what it was contingent on

but did you leave with the shorts you were wearing?
Unfortunately yes...fell short of the 100k goal that would have prompted me to do a naked jig in front of Wally Wests table

Jim, I'll be there, and am definitely on the hunt for a couple slabbed keys!
And for your wall books, hopefully you'll be taking into account the stronger C$ when pricing your books in C$ vs US$ GPA? Maybe just for boardies? Hehe
I will do whatever I can, to get a deal done.

Will be bringing a whole new inventory that I haven't even made available to my customers at the shop yet.
Gonna try something new and have 12 longs priced at $2.00 per book from 10-12, $1.00 from 12-2, 50 cents from 2-4...I don't want to go home home with anything folks.
Have a new full run of Adam Hughes Catwoman and Wonder Womans, lots of new Harley and Joker covers etc etc
As well as what will be our best wall display ever...AF #15, Hulk #1, multiple #181's, etc etc etc
Looking forward to this one folks...a lot.

In the next politically correct Marvel reboot Wolverine will probably be a midget...............
Possibly, but one would ever put the words politically correct and midget in the same sentence.

Having been to a couple Wizard World shows, I can't imagine the Chicago show would be better than C2E2.
If I could only go to one comic book show a year...WWChicago would be that show, and it's not even that close.

Hey guys? Is there a Greek Town dinner planned? Maybe Friday night?
2009 was the last one, and nobody's hearts were in it at all.

I'm also pretty sure that Eric and I will be in Chicago next month, so I'm sure we could bring the book for pick up as well.

Man, the world needs a sarcasm font....
I don't know if a font is necessary but comprehension of what one is reading wouldn't hurt.

Well he did spell behaviour with a U, so he isn't American, so it makes "sens" to me.

So yesterday afternoon around three this car pulls into my driveway and a man and a woman step out of it and ask, "Is this Guardian Comics" in a very southern accent. I say it sure is and lead them inside. I ask what would you like to look at and he says to me "Are you on the boards?" I said I sure am. He says I'm Greg Holland, ValiantMan from the boards. We are from Little Rock, Arkansas and my wife and I are on a 20th anniversary road trip and while on our way between seeing the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and going to Niagara Falls tomorrow, we wanted to stop by and check you out.
We talked of all all the places that they had visited....the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, Hershey, PA and even the Ben and Jerrys factory in Vermont. 1100 miles from home, and going to THE tourist atttactions they stopped by to see me specifically.
They spent a couple of hours going through the dollar bins but Greg really wanted something special, a souvenir that he could always remember his trip to Canada by. Amongst other things, he eyed and purchased a CGC graded Canadian Price Variant of ASM #252.
Thank you so much Greg, for stopping by and supporting another member of the boards. Safe travels the rest of the way home and all the best.

Bob: His post made me think of something and perhaps you can help? Pre Marvel Chipping, has it been on the book since the newsstand or is it something you just wake up one morning seeing, and go that wasn't there yesterday? Is it like a ticking time bomb?
