  1. When I was in junior high, I was big into sports cards. Unlike most kiddo's I bought vintage cards. I hoarded every OJ Simpson card I could buy because I had seen him in The Naked Gun. I sold them all around 1993 for less than I paid for them.
  2. If the book is intended to make a profit for the LCS, do flippers mind if the LSC pulls all copies except pull box orders and auctions them on eBay?
  3. I agree that the greatest error in judgement was posting this video on Facebook. What is the upside?
  4. The stroller with the abandoned children pretty much sums up the comic swap.
  5. This show was a blast. I had some good conversations with several guys and had a great time. I've stepped back from comics a bit over the last couple years and this was a great show to jump back in. My thoughts: - The lighting didn't bother me much. - The hotel was great, better than some resorts I've experienced. - The comic swap was the most fun I've had buying/selling/trading comics in a long time. I did better in three hours at the comic swap than I did in some large shows. I snagged a few books that I rarely ever see. - One day doesn't feel long enough, I was actively shopping from 9ish until 4:30 with a short break for lunch and I was exhausted. - The dealers were great. There were many of the convention mainstays but it was really nice to see the guys that don't set up at a lot of shows. Robotman and another dealer a couple booths down from him (a boardie who's handle unfortunately I cannot remember) had some great books and took the majority of my money. My only complaint, and it's not a huge deal, but there were several dealers that had books that weren't priced. I learned quickly that, for the most part, it wasn't worth my time to ask what the prices were. With one exception, the quoted prices were well outside the market for the books. I'm not sure the reason for this strategy but I did notice that at the end of the day, the long boxes with the unpriced books were still nearly full.
  6. "Cheaper odd, old, cool books" I love every word. I got a nice stack a couple years ago from you and I'm thirsty for more.
  7. It seems fine for looking up an individual book here and there, but that's not how I mainly use GPA. Usually, I would open a title, say Deadpool 1997. Then, I would go to the bottom and, as quickly as possible, click on each issue number to open all the listings on one page. Then I would scroll through and see which issues were moving or had sold for unexpected prices. It doesn't look like I can do that anymore. When I click on an issue number, it goes to a new screen where I can only see one issue at a time. Now, I need to click on an issue, and wait for it to load and then when I select another issue it takes me to another page that takes several seconds to load. Overall, it's made using it tedious AF.
  8. Dude, I passed up those postcards, a while later I thought "What was I thinking?" and went back form them but they were gone. I'm glad they went to a good home.
