  1. Well, now you can drive a better Cadillac after the sale of your comic. Get a classic good condition '60s one and tell your friends "one comic book paid for my new Caddy!"
  2. Glad that there nothing good on TV tonight! I should brew some coffee...
  3. Congratulations with this one. Yes, do what many are telling you ... get it graded first! Well worth your time and money In paying fees to get it checked, graded and slabbed. Wish I can afford this one. Merry Christmas ? and welcome to the boards!
  4. Look up to the red bar where you see "my stuff" - you will see the flashing icon telling you you have a new PM message. ☝?
  5. Missed a few gems in there. The JLA books were gorgeous...two I would had go for them. I was in the wrong time zone anyway. Not to worry... I'll have more chances with next groups. By now most of you are maybe near broke now, I stand a better chance to snag one or two gems in the next group.
  6. :p in the threate ... pre-movie commercials begin. Watching at thus moment.
  7. Yep - that's Greggy. The man, the myth and the legend. Very rare appearance of Greggy awake, not napping!

  10. Wish you could be bit earlier for Sunday? No harm in asking anyway. Sunday tomorrow gonna be a total circus for sure.
  11. Good thing that I had arranged with my friends for Rouge One movie o Sunday afternoon. At the right time to not miss your thread. No worry
  12. It actually rained during the January 2016 show. Pack a raincoat and some plastic bags. Selection of comic books at this con is pretty impressive. I also remember visiting Los Angeles in January and getting 90 degree weather. No, it rained in 2015, 2016 was a beauty day. In 2016, vendors outside closed early because of the rain. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9127745&fpart=12 Touché
  13. Got my ticket for VIP 3D. I used my free courtesy ticket that I saved for the movie. All set for Sunday Dec 18th noon!
  14. How much is the 1 hour cheap flight from the bay area?
  15. Done with the book. Ready to pass over to Shadroch now. Please PM me. The story was interesting, yes I see a bit of Superman in parts. And I believe I see a touch of Invincible in character.
  16. Yup, you said it! I now have a problem with eBay's stupid global shipping system. The auctions I won from a seller. And the seller did offer combined shipping in his terms. But the global shipping system seem to deny him that option. I face high shipping cost at this moment. I got to call ebay rep to work something out.
  17. Yow...that does not look good. I can't tell if Hulk 181 get damaged from the broken plastic below inside? I hope OP get money back somehow. Seems the shipper didn't do a good job what I am reading other posts.
  18. The DC wall rack (or spinner rack) has been on my WTB list for a long time. I just finally got my first "HEY KIDS!" Spinner rack last month. It fits and match the time era period when I started buy comics. The DC model is next.
  19. Today I will go see this movie with buddies this afternoon. We had reserved our seats for VIP with 3D. With the damn lousy raini weather here ( it's been over 30 days of rain!) .. I decide to spoil myself a little in going for VIP treatment. Hope the good doctor will hex away my gloom of raining!
  20. I would like to find a DC or Marvel book with my birthdate Oct 25, 1968. Preferably a Batman then Flash, Etc. Thanks.
  21. Here's how I read it: OP: It's not a Canadian variant. Boardie: If it's a Canadian variant, it's worth $57 instead of $11. OP: it's a Canadian variant. You're funny, I'l give you that.
  22. Hmm... I see. Then that makes my copy a Canadian variant for sure no question. Thanks for the comments. It is odd that Overstreet guide didn't list the 30c variants - just so to give an idea the value difference. It did for Marvel BA 30 and 35 cent variants, why not do for others? Now I start to see that my suspectiions about my copy was correct after all. I have said I got it from an anquite furniture dealer whom was from U.S. Well, to my recalls he said he got some furniture from a northern state somewhere and that was where these giants come from. I believe the house owner had a relative from Canada who brought comics to the family's child or children. Maybe their grandma or aunt? Funny thing is that among the Giants is the only 30c variant. All else were 25c. I think I need to look for an article to read more about the Canadian variants by Dell and others. Anyone know where I can find it among the magazines?
  23. A variant priced for a specific international market isn't necessarily printed in that destination market, it would still be printed in the US if that's where the standard copies of that book were printed. Mr. I guess you don't know how I got this book, do you? This was brought from a U.S. anqiute furniture dealer who brought some Dell Giants from the USA with his wares. How did it end up with other books in there? They were found in a drawer furniture by this dealer before me.
