  1. Hi, what they mean by "reserved for reholder" would be for books that already had the label and perhaps the holder got damaged and needed to be reholdered. A universal label cannot be switched out for a retired label, even with a reholder. If you submitted that, we would simply advise you the label is not available in that case. Thanks!
  2. Good morning, thanks for your message. The membership discounts apply to grading fees only. It does not apply to Signature Series grading, Pressing services or on-site grading service. You can find out more on what you receive with each level of membership here: https://www.cgccomics.com/join/ Thank you!
  3. Good morning, thanks for your email. In order to obtain a Signature Series label, you would have to submit the book with a Creator Agreement form which verifies the item is coming directly from the artist. You would need to be a member of our Collector's Society as well. You can contact our customer service department to obtain a copy of the form by emailing them at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thanks!
  4. Good morning, thanks for your message. We offer three different options for return shipping. You can choose from registered mail through the USPS, FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. The only method that will fully insure your items would be registered mail with the USPS. FedEx and UPS will only be insured for up to $100 per box. As a result, registered mail has a higher cost than FedEx and UPS. All three shipping methods do require signatures. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  5. Good morning, thanks for your message. Yes, it can be for a signature. The artist or signer would just have to send it to us directly with a Creator agreement. Once we have the item here in the office, we then contact the collector's society member and obtain additional details such as the grading tier, declared value, shipping method, etc. Thanks!
  6. Good morning, You can request any specific comments or notations, however, the final decision on something like that would be at the graders' discretion. You can include any supplemental information you wish and we can provide that to the graders. If you want something in particular you can attach a sticky note to the comic bag and also write it on your packing slip and we will pass that information to the graders for review. Thanks!
  7. Hello, thanks for your message. The only way to receive a Signature Series label would be if an authorized CGC witness was present and witnessed the signature as it happened. Or if the book was sent to us directly from the artist. We do not accept COA's so the book in this case, would receive a green Qualified label. You can find out more about our Signature Series program here: https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/ If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  8. Good morning, I checked with the graders on this and they are not aware of any particular known error with this book. Do you have any additional information? Thanks,
  9. Good morning, thanks for your message. You can include a window bag with the section cut out where you want him to sign it. Once we crack your book out of the holder, we would then put it into your provided window bag. If you do not include a window bag then we will have to use one of our own and in that case, you would not be able to specify where you wanted him to sign. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  10. Good morning, thanks for your message. You can send any number of books in at once, however, when we ship them back to you, they will ship it batches of 25 books per box. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  11. Good morning, thanks for your message. Unfortunately, our graders would not be able to make any determinations based on pictures alone. They would have to examine the book in hand. We do not have a service that can check for things of this nature prior to grading, unfortunately. If you submit the book for grading and it can be graded then it would be graded and encapsulated and sent back to you. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  12. Good morning, For comics the largest size we can accommodate is: 10-1/2” tall 7-5/8” wide 1/4” thick And for magazine size the largest would be: 11-1/2” tall 8-7/8” wide 1/2” thick My guess would be that maybe the thickness would be an issue. You might want to measure that to see if it would fall within these dimensions. If it does, then we should be able to grade it. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  13. I'm sorry to hear that. Do you recall who you spoke with? If you can provide me with your customer number I can check the status for you myself. Thanks!
  14. Hello, we are currently experiencing an issue with our certification lookup feature. Some cert numbers are not pulling up the information correctly. We have our IT department working on that and hope to have it corrected soon. Thanks for your patience!
  15. Good afternoon, The grading fees are the same regardless of which membership level you choose. However, with each membership level you would receive a 5, 10 or 15 % discount on the retail price. You can find our grading fees here: https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/cgc-grading/ and the membership levels here: https://www.cgccomics.com/join/ Thank you!
  16. Good morning, thanks for your email. Unfortunately, errors do occasionally occur on the label, however, if you alert us to the issue we will happily send you the instructions and shipping label to send the book back to be corrected at no charge. If you are concerned about something when you send your book in, you can always make a notation on the packing slip if there is something you want the graders to pay special attention to. You can also check the status of your orders online and if you see any of the books mislabeled, you can let us know while the books are still here and we can have that reviewed and corrected as needed. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  17. Hello, thanks for your message. If you can provide the date you emailed us and your email address, I will check with whoever was handling that email and have them respond to you ASAP. Thanks!
  18. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, that would not be possible as the books are all put into window bags prior to the signing and, as you stated above, you wouldn't want to cause any damage to the book by having it bagged with the cover or any pages bent back. Thank you!
  19. Good morning, thanks for your message. Your order will be shipped back to whatever return address you listed on your order form. Thanks!
  20. Hello, you can email those images to our customer service department at submissions@cgccomics.com and they can provide you instructions on how to proceed. Thanks!
  21. Good morning, thanks for your message. I forwarded your message to our grading team and they advised that they are not seeing an issue with the example above. It appears the book was cracked out and pressed and identified as a pedigree the 2nd time around but the centerfold became detached at that time. According to the graders a detached centerfold could not receive higher than a 7.0 so this grade would fall in line with that. If the graders felt the book should have received a qualified grade, it would have received a green label but the grade would have been higher. The pedigree would still have been noted, even on the qualified label. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  22. Good morning, thanks for your message. The only way for a book to receive a Signature Series label would be for the signature to be witnessed by an authorized CGC witness or for the artist to mail us the book directly with a Creator Agreement. If a book comes in to us that has an unwitnessed signature and it is not sent by the artist then it would receive a green qualified label instead. You can find out more about our signature series on our website here: https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/ Thank you!
  23. Hello, thanks for your message. The only way for the book to get a signature series label would be for the artist to send it to us directly along with a Creator Agreement form. If he sends the book back to you and you send it to us then it would not be eligible. It must come directly from the artist. You can contact our customer service department to obtain a Creator Agreement form and then you can provide that to the artist to send in with your items. You can reach our customer service department at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  24. Good morning, In order to change or add services to any in house orders, we would first need to see where they are in the process. If an order is too far along, then no changes would be possible. Your best bet is to email the invoice numbers to our customer service department and let them know what you want to do and they can check to see if those changes are possible at this stage. If so, then they will have you complete a new online order form with the updated services you would like and email that to them. You can reach our customer service department at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thanks!
  25. We actually have a separate forum for trading cards. You can find that here: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/97-cgc-trading-cards/ Thanks!
