  1. Hello, thanks for your message. Over the weekend there was a server issue which temporarily caused the submission tracking feature to go down. It has been fixed now so everything should be running normally. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.
  2. Hello, yes, you can write all three initials on the box. Just be sure to write them on all sides so we can see them regardless of what is stacked on top of the box when it is brought into our receiving room. We will have window bags available here if you do not have one or aren't able to provide one. However, if you want your book signed in a particular place on the book then you should provide your own with the window cut out where you want the signature. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  3. Good morning, Thanks for your message! Unfortunately, multiple signings on the same book are only permitted on those artists that are doing their signings at the same time. We are not able to hold books for different artists. You can find a listing of all of the scheduled signings here to see who is signing together: https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8231/ Thank you!
  4. Great! If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks!
  5. Hello, thanks for your message. There is a 15 book minimum for both Modern and Value tiers on Quick Press. https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/ccs/ If the online form is not requiring 15 books for the Value tier then that appears to be a glitch in the order form that we will have to look into. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  6. Hi, thanks for your message. No, we don't provide any sort of appraisal for the books. However, part of the grading process is to check and see what current market values might be for the book and to determine if they feel the book is undervalued by a significant amount. But our graders aren't going to get specific with an actual amount. At most, if the graders feel the book is significantly undervalued, they will bump it up to a higher grading tier and that can give you an idea of whether the graders believe a book to be over a certain amount. For example, if they bump it from Value to Economy then you can assume the graders felt the value would be more than $200 but under $400 based on the maximum values for those tiers. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  7. Thanks! I'll have them pull the invoice and double check that before it ships. We will make any necessary corrections.
  8. Yes, if the book arrives at our office encapsulated we would crack it out prior to the signing and put it into a window bag. If you include your own with your book then we will use that or we will also have a supply of them at our office we can use if you don't have your own or forget to include it. Thanks!
  9. Good morning, Thanks for your message. There is not a specific box to check for an already slabbed book. That fee will be added here on our end when we receive your book. You are not charged anything until we receive the order here in house. You can just manually add $5 per book to your total for any book that needs to be cracked out and that will give you the actual total you will be charged. Thanks!
  10. Good morning, Thanks for your message. This invoice is in line for grading, however, it does appear that while in pressing it was determined that the centerfold and page 12 were missing which would result in a qualified label, as you see here. The graders will double check everything when it gets in to them and nothing is final until it has gone through the graders. Thank you!
  11. Hello, thanks for your message. Can you advise which book do you feel has a printing error and also, what you believe the error to be? The invoice is still here in the office so I can have our graders take another look before it ships out. Thank you,
  12. Hi, thanks for your question. I'm not sure what you mean by "taking census submissions." If it is a comic that we have never graded before then it won't appear on our census but that doesn't necessarily mean we can't grade it. It could just mean that no one has ever sent that particular book in to us before. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks!
  13. Hi, we base any sort of compensation on fair market value of a book. If a customer lists a value far exceeding the current market value for a book of that type then we will pay the fair market value. This is pointed out in our terms and conditions https://www.cgccomics.com/legal/terms-and-conditions/ If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  14. Hello, thanks for your message. The shipping fees you are paying for when you complete your online order would be the return shipping fees for when your order is completed and shipped back to you. You would also have to pay to ship the books to us. We don't provide a shipping label for that so you can ship them any method you prefer and then you would pay for the shipping fees when you take the items in for shipment. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  15. Good afternoon, The return shipping method you are selecting on your order is for us to ship that back to you once your order is completed. You can ship your invoice to us any method you prefer. We do not sent you shipping labels to send your books in. You would need to pay for shipping fees both ways. If you wish to ship your books FedEx or UPS you can mail them to our street address: CGC 5501 Communications Parkway Sarasota, FL 34240 Thank you!
  16. Good afternoon, Thanks for your message. We recommend customers put as close to the current market value for their books as they can. This will insure that they are not overpaying on the grading and return shipping fees as that is directly related to the value you list. Also, if someone lists $10,000 for a book that is only worth $20 then we are not going to pay out $10,000 if the book was lost or damaged, so again, it is important to put a value as close to the current market value as possible. You may need to do some research on your end before you send your books in to determine a value that is appropriate for your books. If you are not sure, we recommend starting out more conservatively and then our graders can bump up your fees if they feel the book was significantly undervalues. However, they will not refund any grading fees if you overvalue the book by a significant amount. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  17. Hello, please contact our customer service department at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com so we can check into that further for you. Thank you!
  18. Good afternoon, Thanks for your message. The value we ask you for is an insurance value, a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your book was lost or damaged while with us. We do encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse you if you over-value your book. In the event that your book was grossly under-valued, we would contact you to bump the insurance coverage. Thank you!
  19. Hi, credits will not show on the online form because that is not a live system so you are not charged anything until we physically receive your order in the office. Once the order is received then we will deduct off any credits or discounts before charging you. Yes, you can reach customer service by phone at 877-662-6642. We do have reps available to speak with you. Thanks!
  20. Good morning, thanks for your message. Our graders would have to examine it to determine if it was just a regular book that had the cover torn off or removed or if this was a legitimate error done during manufacturing. We could not really make a determination without examining it first, unfortunately. If you have any questions on how to submit, you can reach our customer service department at 877-662-6642 or at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thanks!
  21. Good morning, thanks for your message. The membership credit will expire when your membership does each year. The credits don't carry over to the next year so if you don't use all of the credit during the year then that will just drop off when your membership expires. Credits and discounts should automatically be applied to your orders, however, if you feel that something was not applied, please contact our accounting department and they can double check that for you. You can reach them at 877-662-6642 and then follow the prompts for Accounting. Thanks!
  22. Good morning, thanks for your message. You can leave it sealed in the plastic and we can remove it here for you. Thanks!
  23. Good morning, thanks for your message. First appearances are listed at the discretion of the graders. Since we don't appear to have graded this book previously, the graders would have to make that determination when they examined the book. You can notate any request for first appearances on your packing slip and we will have the graders review to see if they agree that can be put on the label. Thanks,
  24. Good morning, thanks for your message. If the book is a signature series book then it would have to remain in the holder and we would crack it out here in order to retain that signature series label. If it is a universal label then you can either crack it out yourself or leave it in the holder and we can do that for you. We generally recommend keeping it in the holder just to better protect the book during shipping, however. Thanks!
  25. Hello, thanks for your message. The turnaround time for the privates signings would be approximately 3 weeks for grading and six weeks for pressing and grading. This turnaround time starts after the books have been signed. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
