  1. I get the picture. Thanks guys.
  2. Did some pages go missing from this morning? What happened (genuinely don't know)
  3. The announcement that the 'second' encapsulation machine would hardly ever leave the cgc facility this year was a big step forward though. It does seem the graders are working their socks off to at least make some headway, so the news that both machines will be there most of the time is encouraging. I was really obvious that on-site stuff at Cons had to be looked at if they ever wanted to try to reduce the backlog.
  4. I love you. Times 1,000,000 Don't buy the bloody things. Interesting to see that Chuck is now issuing Store Marvel variants. Not you know (greedy barsteward) who. When did that happen..
  5. You know what guys - ITS SUDDENLY COOL TO LOVE READING COMICS! It's like vinyl records - sometimes the simple stuff is the best.
  6. It's like an evolution of a new species. PS Ryan - remember that AV #1 4.5 I sent for dry-clean and press? Came back - 6.5 Good ol' Joey!
  7. This may seem quite wankey - but it isn't. You really need to make some contacts, find a good reliable one stop shop submitter. Buy your comics pre-order Research your own cheapest way to post back to you. Do this and all the pieces will fall in together. You have to work at finding the cheapest way to slab, just as you need to work to find great deals. People here will kindly point you in the right direction, but no-one is going to hand all the info to you on a plate. Stick around, ask the right questions and you'll get there! Good luck mate! (thumbs u
  8. I just gave a pile of #2's away to people who bought anything over $40 off me. In hindsight, that was rather dumb of me.
  9. Without quoting GPA though, I can tell you that officially #53 HAS been overtaken by #92 in the 3 month GPA average. #27 next anyone?
  10. (thumbs u Especially since I pay for it...get your own subscription. It's nice to show a new person the amount of information they get access to. On the other hand there were 5 threads updated with the latest GPA data this week. That's more than recommending a service. That was me Jeff from my own GPA. Someone asked me for a favour so I did it as a one-off. I had no intention of doing anything but a kindness. Apologies.
  11. Everyone is stuck on Dragnet or something. Branget Why UK? You'd buy me a pint? I wonder who started the Bragnet name.... By accident - I think it was in my first question to you Jeff?
  12. Thats how to collect funny books. Awesome and I am very pleased for you. Lovely books!
  13. That Tv show deal about the Sixth Gun has started to circulate then - whats it fetching now?
  14. K, Didn't Hurd say they planned 7 seasons and a finish up Movie? So that would be around 2018 - 2019. Kirkman has said 300 issues in a letters column a few times so thats roughly 2030. Some of us might be 6 ft under by the time this ever finishes!
  15. Guess I can just cancel my subscription. So you changed your mind about prices softening then? In the short term I was happy with the $1800 price. But now its broken 2K - I think the inevitable softening after the TV show winds up may be a lot gentler than I originally thought. If there are 1500 people who paid say, $3000 then they will probably keep, rather than let them go for $1500. That will provide a buffer probably to a glut of copies arriving on ebay post the TV show. Some people were suggesting as low as $500 on here recently. That now, will never happen. The Walking Dead has assumed "Star Trek" popular culture status.
  16. Excuse my ignorance TBP but what exactly is that? Besides a very passable image of British people
  17. I completely agree with this. Negan has all the leverage - it makes no sense for him to have a plant at this point. He doesn't need any information from Rick's group - he already knows where Alexandria is, what their capabilities are, etc. Also ref the fact that some of the Saviors attacked and beat him when he was following Dwight, and said that they remembered him from the Hilltop. About the #106 cliffhanger: Anyway, will be interesting to see where this goes... Your spoiler makes a lot of sense...
  18. If he's a plant - why? Negan can stroll into Alexandria, take what he wants and watch his grandchildren be born if he wanted to. However if Jesus is the biggest rat since Martinez, then #92 just became a much more funkier buy. (thumbs u
  19. TV series would be the ideal format, but short of that, then yes, a trilogy. I'd rather that nothing come of this than to end up with a lame movie. I don't believe this series could be condensed into one movie. The narrative would be too stripped down; all the beats that made the series work would be lost. Unfortunately, knowing a bit about Hollywood economics, the chances of the project getting greenlit as a trilogy are slim. I will say, though, that I'm glad the studio is taking a chance on a young guy than going with a hack like the previous choice, D.J. Caruso (who's the equivalent of a Mark Steven Johnson). At least there's still a shot for a decent movie with an unknown. +1 As much as I'd like to see an on-screen version of the fantastic YtLM, there's just no way a single movie can do the series justice - it's begging to be an HBO, Showtime or AMC series. Christ - I actually agree with Schmiddy. See. Hell can freeze over. How are you Mikey? (cue eerie tumbleweed silence.... )
  20. Already done mate - on the revival thread!
