  1. OUCH! was was the Black/White split on the 5 copies? All Black. I think 'Ouch' covered it beautifully.
  2. I'm really delighted to say I sent 5 x The Walking Dead #1's to Joeypost and despite being submitted and paid for as 'fast-track' by Joey, for some reason best known to CGC, they put them in modern economy. I'll post a pic in July 2014. Not happy tbh...
  3. Well Mark, you post them to a dealer who presses to get the 20%...oh, thats not what you meant was it. .
  4. Does this mean, that as Larry basically thinks this board and its inhabitants are all P's - O - S that the Phantom programme will suffer? Who's getting any Larry now after this? I suggest no-body buy the #2 Phantom variant and spend their money with Image instead. I have heard that Image and Marvel are reconsidering this 'arrangement' as only 1 person was making profit. Apparently.
  5. Small potatoes. Sadly 267 of those small spuds are mine.... Wake up CGC!!
  6. Well, the problem is there's always someone else filling the gaps/holes. I see Rick going down in flames in a fight, not with a wimper. No way is the comic making it to #200. Well you had better speak to Kirkman as he has been saying for at least a year that he intends it to be a 300 issue series.
  7. FWIW - raw, well priced non-key WD's are flying out my ebay page. I use my #100 variants (which I pre-bought for less than cover anyway) as freeebies to sweeten a deal or correct any unhappiness. Makes people happier than money in most cases. You may see a change in the order of "The Keys" - but the riskiest 2 (#27 and #61) will still command a substantial premium. #53 will be a $100 - $125 slab soon - Spoiler for the uninformed. However #92 - this is building up a head of steam like you would not believe, when the valve is opened I expect the premier appearence of Jesus to be behind only #1 and #19 eventually. Any raw for under $50 and any 9.8 under $130-$150 is a VERY sound investment. Kirkman has said this guy is around for a long time (repeatedly) - I am going out on a limb and say WHEN RICK DIES,CARL WILL TAKE OVER AND JESUS HIS GO-TO MAN. For a long time.... Spoilers again for the uninformed
  8. That looks 10/10. Absolutely outstanding HR - I would be so proud to have that on my wall. Hopefully more people will start reading the book! The multitude of images of the cover of #1 has,in my VERY humble opinion, put readers off. There are raw #1's everywhere not selling for less than cover. Variants are also plummeting. Too much too soon. I guess the next 6-8 episodes will tell the tale. I loved #1 - but #2 was pretty weak. I have no idea if the stupidity of multiple covers for #2 will be repeated, but I cant see much of a market for #3 onwards if it happens.
  9. Great post Ryan - post of this thread by a mile. We all get soooo confused as to what we want. We want the Gov - the real Gov, but not the sadistic multiple rapes. We want Michonne to need a reason to kill the Gov ( despite being chased by 4 of his goons sent to kill her - did everyone forget that? ) - but not be so violently assaulted. Hell we would all settle for the actress to be able to act - my god she is terrible! We want the prison to be full of crops, hot water, power for TV nights, 3 lines of fences, and vehicles in the garage. What we have is 2 sets, no armoury, infirmary or garage. We want Woodbury to be a threat - how?? It's full of oldies, kids and civil servants - the vatos would be living in Woodbury in 10 minutes. We want the national guard armory - we get 10 trained, hardened soldiers killed in 40 seconds. I really loved season 3's up-tempo beat, but I am starting to worry that a period of the comic that went from, what 16 - 48 (?) - is going to be done in 16 episodes. I know I have said this before - but it's almost like Kirkman cannot wait to go on a completely "non-comic' storyline as soon as possible. This was ok tonight (2 days after you guys) but it could have been so much, much better. Lastly. Did "Shane" need some beer money? What the hell as the point of that! Thoughts, as always are welcome!
  10. Previous comments by me on an unrelated topic were only meant to emphasise a point on common decency and the need to calm down. I actually like quite alot of what you say when you're being nice Andy not Madder Red Very fair point - and thankyou.
  11. Don't call him Curtis either! Welcome to the we-know-who-we-mean-but-got-it-wrong-club. Prepare for butthurt.
  12. I love ya RMA - now don't go near any very tall buildings. just incase the you-know-who is in the mood again....
  13. Oh look - another RMA! At least that fight could take place in a library without offending anyone!
  14. I hope you had your pants back on by then....
  15. Oh my - The Phantom is dead. Long Live The Ghost! (Their stuff seemed better anyway)
  16. What did Bob Dylan sing.."The times they are a-changing" Wonder if #2 has $60 worth of specialness in it too - all for $3.99 cover. How does that work? Seriously,if you are the only shop selling it,as it sounds like all the other shops thought releasing 1 variant of 'Old Bettys Farm' / 'Bee-keeping weekly/ Deadpool (delete as appropriate) per week for 6 months was a dumb idea, how can it be justified to mark it at $3.99 cover, and then ask $60 for it. Especially as nobody seems to want it due to excessive overkill. I've quite rightly been told to shut up about variants - and I have - your money, knock yourselves out and I hope you get pleasure out of them. But really, how can someone print a book off for $4 and then want $60 a few days later? The contents the same - yes? - just a different cover - is that right? Somebody (other than King Larry) explain how this works
  17. Wouldn't it be a 3rd print? Similar to his Chew #1 Larry's Edition? My Chew special edition WAS a third printing variant. So how is this not the same thing? Your "special edition" is released after issue #1 has been out for a while - which automatically makes it a reprint  Bazinga!
  18. It's even funnier when you submit some via fast-track and pay for that service. Only then to find out CGC mistakenly put them into economy. Now that does suck.
  19. Besides the first series - don't, just don't. It's beyond perverse, and whoever 'created' some of the scenarios needs to be kept a close eye on. Especially around children, animals and corpses. It's just ugly.
  20. Apparently $60 worth of specialness. Thats a lot.
