  1. The first 'Two-Face' Its having its tape removed, dry cleaned and pressed. Can't wait to see what it looks like upon return!
  2. http://geektyrant.com/news/2013/1/2/awesome-walking-dead-tribute-video-using-skyfall-theme.html For poos and giggles - fan-made Walking Dead tribute. Might help with withdrawl symptoms..
  3. Well you seem to have nailed it mate. Nice one.
  4. This book is creeping up.. Which boardie called this "The New Star wars" - seems to be becoming a very apt description..
  5. I left you a message in pay it forward bren - but as you are here.. You still need a german variant? Cover postage and its yours. I assume 9.8 will be ok, or are you happy for a "Rosen" grade?
  6. The new one Jeff - you are being obtuse again. As if anyone has more inside info on the comics you "Target", other than Jim (TWD) or Beachbum then I will consider myself amazed mate!
  7. I'm pretty outspoken. So I'm bound to get up peoples noses. But I like to think I can take the banter as well as give it. With Nico - no,never will. To much water under the bridge - but even I can be sympathetic when the guys world has gone to . Balham - don't really get him. He just seems to take forever to get over stuff. I really don't have any real issues with anyone but Nico and Linguini. Thats why they have been on ignore for months. Most people seem to be able to give and take - I call that banter - not 'disliking someone' Hell,I even have time for Bragnet... It is what it is. Especially where ego's and money collide. You should tune into some of the 10 year feuds in CG if you think this forum is bad!
  8. Vintage. Jesus - I can't win with you can I? Actually - and I can't stand Nico - from what I understand, he has a whole shedload of family probs - Lets lay off him guys please? Don't just selectively quote. You really hold a grudge for a long time mate. Even on the raffle thread you threw a spazz because i was picked ahead of you. Try anger management. Or less caffeine. Or both.
  9. TBH Gaz - speculation is how a lot of moderns get their chance. What would Peter Panzerfausts run have been if not for the support of this forum? I would hazard a guess that at least 30% of #1's were bought by forum members. Speculating and enjoying the read don't need to be mutually exclusive. I couldn't justify buying 100 issues of a rubbish book because it *might* rise in price. I have to like it as well. With Bedlam - sure having 100's of raw and slabbed copies - I do have a financial interest. But I also have issues 1 + 2 which have been read to death and passed on to other people for their enjoyment. I think 90% of people here like what they speculate in - but with only 1 issue a month, interest soon reverts to $ value - as there is only so much you can discuss about 28 pages of a funny book. If Bedlam pans - sure I will lose a bit of cash - not much as I pre-bought everything - but a 30% rise in value will be just as interesting as what Madder Red does next.
  10. With your increased hunting of Y issues - you believing the news coming out about the trilogy?
  11. Where is Kelly hiding the slab......
  12. Someone is going to get absolutely bankrupted holding the baby on this one. Hope its no-one from here. The nineties are almost back. Holo-foil anyone?
  13. Actually - and I can't stand Nico - from what I understand, he has a whole shedload of family probs - Lets lay off him guys please?
  14. I keep looking for those bulk lots... Very scarce nowadays. Don't forget #53, #61 and #92!
  15. Oh dear lord do you have your facts mixed up. Larry started the Phantom program as a direct result of the Ghost variant program [not including him]. I mean gee, his overly pleasant commentaries he's known for surely wasn't a possible factor in him being left out. He got a bit mad at that. So he created the Phantom program to get back at those meanies. Maybe if he didn't berrate people in public forums and spew vitriol in his twitter statuses he would have been included... Respectable organizations (re: Ghost Variant program) require respectable people. Quote of the decade.
  16. For sure Krighton - but I will be amazed if Larry isn't having a little 'break' for a while.
  17. It was about 10pm my time. lets be kind and say Larry was probably somewhat 'refreshed'. There was a rather lengthy comparison between Thosebackpages and a certain part of the human anatomy. Lets just say someone was pizzed that the Phantom worshippers had started to turn on the false god. And boy did he decide to let rip.
  18. Could I please ask the mods why they deleted Larry's expletive-filled rant against "ThoseBackPages". It was crass, obscene and quite vile. When Larry reveals his true colours - what gives you the right to hide the ugly side from those that are unaware? Not Cool Larry.
  19. Who was 'dissing'? I thought all responses to your question, were balanced polite and fair. I still love TWD - note I said sold 'raws'. I just rechecked my CGC invoices and have another 40 or so waiting to come back including 5x #1, #2 - #15 #19, 27, 53, 61, 92 (x7) plus another 20 or so random ones. I got a couple from the pay-it-forward thread so they will go off as well to cgc. In otherwords I still probably own 60% of the run in 9.8! One of the great books of all time - it's just for me, a no-brainer to sell a few slabs from #80 - #90 and buy 4 or 5 FF #52. I totally respect what you collect - I think pretty much everyone is quite respectful on this forum usually.
  20. Where do you think this will be in 6 months Jr? $120? $150? I'm not sure where the ceiling is on this one. I just know I wish I had bought more!
  21. TBH - I have sold pretty much all my raw copies - except the keys and a few strays. I intend to keep a 9.8 #1 and thats it. I love TWD - love it. But I also love a high-grade silver age key - which I had no concept of the pleasure of owning one 1 yr ago - and, honestly - holding a really nice Fantastic Four #52 is a wonderful feeling. Credit where it is due - without TWD being awesome, and valuable - that would never have happened. I will always love this comic/show - but besides #1 I feel a 'gold/silver' key will not let me down financially. I'm still snapping up every cheap #92 I can find though! If this sound weird - it's not - I really value TWD for getting me back into comics - I will always have all the TPB's and the shows on hard-drive...but I'm really feeling the love for the '60's books i read as i was growing up. Cathartic moment 101...
