  1. Just give me all the Kang, all the time, and I'll be happy with any phase of MCU
  2. Definitely enjoyable and I think the massive negativity I heard about it online primed my expectations going in (It did start poorly in episode 1, but did get better) I think any cries of it being 'not like the video game' only hold true if the only RE video games played were the first two. I personally find the lore/characters/plot pretty much par for the course for any of the later released RE games, so I don't see any issues with this being Resident Evil (though just watching the first episode didn't feel like it in of itself and that could have been named anything...but after a few episodes it felt better)
  3. So much phase 5 content, so little interest in any of it. I think the only thing I really want to see is Kang in action, but not necessarily anything surrounding that so I could live with a few clips. The Marvels is maybe the only full movie here that gets my interest, and that's more so from being an ensemble film with a few characters I like.
  4. With every new picture or bit of footage released it continues to confirm the hard fact that Pierce Brosnan's Fate is maybe the most perfect casting since RDJR as Iron Man and he alone is going to put a good deal of our butts into those theatre seats. Anything else good that comes from this movie is just bonus cherry on top at this point.
  5. This legit looks really good and even though it is just a trailer perhaps the best looking Marvel movie thus far in terms of visuals (much more pop with colors, and most of all depth...man most of their films are so bloody flat). Definitely my most anticipated MCU venture I'm excited to see.
  6. Still looking for basically ANY parts of a Wonder Woman #1 (1942), be it the cover or inner wraps/pages, but want to put it out there I'm especially interested in BACK COVER. Open to spending anywhere from $1,000-$2,000 on it (with plenty of stuff to trade towards it if you like)
  7. Okay I lied, it's now "good"...technically, and by that I mean specifically the --script structure. Episode 4 was 100% Resident Evil (unless all you've ever played was the first two games, but this was giving me latter entries in the series vibes...and had more game references than the other episodes) but what I enjoyed specifically was how tight the connecting cues and intercuts between the two parallel stories was done. I think this is what I was picking up on...I don't like the show, but I do like the structure of the scripting and how the plot beats are handled. The cues in one story, either the present day or the past childhood story, mirrored each other well without being too heavy handed. I think this is something that is very easy to miss and won't matter much to most viewers, but when watching any sort of media this is one of my favourite things to look out for (and also what jumps out when poorly done - a recent example of very poor interconnected flashbacks and poorly flowing --script would be Book of Boba Fett). So episode four basically made it worth it for me just on a technical level. (edit after watching ep 5 & 6: Episode 5 had some more actual RE vibes to it, but after that it was pretty much back to going down hill fast with an utter wreck of an episode 6...this is spinning way out of control and has lost the plot!)
  8. Racoon City is the closest to getting it right, unfortunately they jammed in too much of the games (they tried to combine both the first two games into a single film). What we ended up is half a good movie (in the mansion) and then another half that you'll mostly get angry at just because they keep cutting away from the mansion It's not bad, but it could have been a much better shorter movie.
  9. It's really weird, cause lore wise this does fit pretty well with the rest of the Resident Evil games since it picks up after 5, the production values are there with some great sets, the characters I like for the most part (Wesker and his daughters are great, everyone else though...meh), and it was clear that effort was made to many aspects of the effects (even the 'bad' dialogue honestly feels right at home for an RE game and can be excused) but still everything just feels off. I think what bugs me the most is us RE fans have not even gotten a single satisfying adaptation to begin with. Nothing done so far has scratched that itch, and the things we did get only came partially close (Racoon City) or if it was watchable was totally unrelated to the games. Had we already got at least a single semi decent mansion horror movie to appease the fanbase I think this series would have landed a little better as its basically feels like it could be a direction a later RE game takes with its plot - but as it stands is all we can see now is a show with great production that potentially took away another chance of seeing the thing we all wanted in the first place, and thus resent it for that loss every single step of the way. Give us the original first before you deviate and explore a whole new direction! At this point I don't even know if I'm watching the show because I'm hate-watching it, or if I actually like something about it on some level (what that is I have no clue)...or something else. Maybe it's just the mind control tech.
  10. Albedo #2, which has been one he's always wanted since high school but had been priced out (he can only maybe occasional spend around $100 at most on a single book at this point due to other obligations, so getting this grail was never going to happen otherwise)
  11. My friend just sold his CGC 0.5 SS Restored (Signed by Stan Lee. Slight A restoration). Presented well, but prices took a hammering. Had several offers of $17k+ for it at the start of this year but he hesitated, then got to the point where he HAD to get extra money in asap and he sold it to one of the bigger Instagram accounts for approximately $12k ($8k cash + an epic grail key traded to cover the rest). He had it on other venues first before selling on IG, no bites for any price over that for months. It was a steal deal for the buyer, I really wish I had 10K in cash sitting around which would have swayed my friend to just let me have it.
  12. Considering neither of those demographics you mentioned are terms that have been used for decades now (even in schools), I would say it's a safe bet they won't be marketing to those by name specifically without massive problems Indigenous peoples covers both groups just fine, though it is also fine to get specific with Inuit/Yupik (I do get what you were saying and nobody is offended, no harm no fowl - I just found it amusing when in a post regarding inclusiveness so figured it best to post a clarifier for everyones benefit). One a side note: There is a massive push right now in tech and media for inclusiveness of Indigenous peoples, as they are a giant untapped market that requires very specific work to even reach in the first place (let alone to get it right). I can't go into too many details due to NDAs but the projects Facebook/Meta has in development are very impressive with the care they are putting in handling it (as all of it requires working directly with the tribes to translate complex tech terms & concepts correctly, often needing to formulate brand new language and syntax in order to even reach the people).
  13. I wonder in what year that Planet Comics #35 was published? Can anyone help me out with this mystery, I'm at my wits end
  14. Half of the recent Resident Evil movie (Welcome to Raccoon City) was basically that, and the mansion looked good...but then it lost any suspense or build up due to the film cutting back and forth between it and the other parallel plot due to them combining two games together. So close to getting a proper RE game adaptation. Sigh.
  15. Don't threaten me with a good time, this isn't my first rodeo.
  16. Now THOSE I would totally hunt down just in principal for display...Death Machine and Chopping Mall alone would make it worth it.
  17. It's...something. I'm a huge fan of the games, and absolutely hated the movies except for the most recent Racoon City one. I don't hate this show, but at the end of the day it could have been called anything else and launched as a brand new property and nobody would have batted an eye or made comparisons to Resident Evil - in fact I think people would have been more accepting of its faults had it not been RE. It'll be forgotten from my brain within a week, to be recalled only for a brief moment the next time I see a fat caterpillar outside, or if/when I start dabbling in Zootopia porn. I do like Wesker in this though and the productions values are decent enough with care put behind the sets and overall feel.

  19. Most interesting, seems this direction is exactly what the original plan was for her all along. https://www.empireonline.com/tv/news/ms-marvel-finale-reveal-sana-amanat-interview-exclusive/
  20. Thanks for the clarification, it's a very neat story behind it (and I honestly I prefer books, especially pedigrees, that have a clear markings on them - especially ones as extensive as this!)
  21. Neat, thanks for posting an interior shot of those. At first glance it feels like these were specifically printer proofs for the publisher, rather than checking copies for advertisers or editors (as it seems they are confirming panel/page layouts and color specs - not ad/copy placement), but were these marks not placed by the store rather than publisher (or did Cosmic Airplane obtain these books with the markings on them already)? Are the checks on any other non-story pages (such as text stories or ad pages)?
  22. This looks like it has so-bad-its-good schlock potential. Obviously they knew it looked terrible and shot it specifically like this, but I'm thinking there is something lost with the trailer (maybe raunchy adult jokes and innuendos they are holding back on). This will either be a complete, total scorched earth failure OR become some weird cult-hit with legs.
  23. One of the better Marvel series so far (leaps and bounds better than Moon Knight and overall a more fun watch than Wandavision or Loki, which just felt like the required reading one has to do before a new book in a popular series comes out), I liked the final episode though the wrap up to get Damage Control out of there was predictable - but I very much appreciated it wasn't another one-on-one fight with a villain (the few interactions with Kamran wasn't really anything and just about getting him back into emotional control, so I'm happy they didn't make him outright the big bad at the end) I was fine with the origin of her name (and loved the origin of her costume considering she is a kid - very refreshing to have people supporting someone and know their 'secret'), as the only reason she gravitated to Marvel was because of her hero - had they been named Captain Wonder or any of the other dozens of dozens translations of the word she would have jumped on anything close sounding to her favourite hero/idol (literally maybe the most realistic name origin story ever for a teenager)
  24. I recall she didn't explicitly ask to go to a party the second time - she told her mother it was her friend who was just having a couple people over to her house that evening (never implied it was a party and let her mom assume it was just the few of them including Bruno)
