  1. As has been said before, this is a 7.0 all day long
  2. I honestly have this pegged at 4.5 after press, but I have been know to be wrong (but also right, soooo...YMMV)
  3. I grew up with this story so I'm excited for it, but also totally expecting it to be nothing like the comics since without Tony the entire motivation needs to be adjusted. However if they do stick true to how Tony acted in the series it will be very compelling to see Rhodes go AWOL and start attacking other armoured heroes.
  4. My first reaction was, yes, this is far too much. However, when I thought about it my main issue wasn't really over saturation of the market but rather a concern with how much do each of them connect, reference, and rely on other shows/movies to fully enjoy. Nobody has to watch every and all of these new shows/movies, and I myself will pick and choose from them only a few to really get into (if they are good), but I really hope they can stand as their own shows and are not all meant to connect with each other outside a few cute easter eggs. I don't want to feel as if I watch X I'll miss out something because I'm not interested in watching Y.
  5. Now we just need to have one of the 9.8 signature series come to market and see how that sells
  6. WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH TURTLES? Seriously, even half this amount would have been pushing it for a 5th print!!!! Ya'll need to calm the hell down with the turtles before your hearts explode!
  7. I'm also not bidding on any of the comics, but am actually going in on one of the original art pieces (Urban Legends #13 cover art. I was actually planning on buying off of Eastmans website where it was originally listed, but he pulled it and other items for this auction just before I could pull the trigger)
  8. I already have it and while I'm not wanting to sell it I'm interested in just keeping tabs on where they are going (I have one mid grade raw copy I use for reading, and then another 9.6ss). I think it will be interesting to see where the 4th and 5th prints end up, as they are distinctly different books than the other first three prints. I love the cover for the 5th, so from an art perspective I can see appreciation for it growing as more people discover this 'affordable' TMNT #1.
  9. I'm personally interested in watching what will happen with the CGC 9.8 TMNT #1 Fifth Print, as it is already at a record high of $456us (with bp)
  10. You won't be able to snipe like on Ebay, as after the auction closes online it goes to a 'live' bidding. Once the lot comes up everyone can bid again and this is where you will see lots of the action on books (and bidding increases the time remaining by 30 seconds to allow for others to counter)
  11. Finally getting an All-Star Comics #4 and of course adding at least one more Dr.Fate cover issue to my More Fun collection. Always keeping my eye out for some Sandman/Hourman covers for Adventure Comics, but that is less of a priority.
  12. I could see this being the best looking 5.5 (since I think the staining might keep it from being higher, though much of it might be able to be cleaned and appear less obvious)
  13. Outside of the GPA I haven't been following 2nd prints like I have been for 3rd prints (scouring for any raw sales). I would just assume they are doing as equally as silly
  14. While I do agree it was most certainly one of the later prints, I could see it happening. Mirage would only know all the 1st prints sold to distributors/LCS, not necessarily if those were then sold to customers, and as such you could have some remote locations that ended up selling out (and being vocal about wanting more) while other smaller shops never had any local interest in buying the books so they just sat on the excess or dumped em (or didn't return or tell Mirage how it turned out).
  15. So, not sure what everyone else experiences are but I've been looking at the 3rd prints for the last two months (as that is the only 'original' copy of #1 I own still) and the prices are all over the place and still getting crazier. A decent mid/high grade raw file copy (with COA and signature by Eastman) sold in October for $670us. Flash forward to this month and BLAM...and absolute wrecked, crumpled, stained with water damaged copy issue sells for $567us. The lowest of the low are climbing (as those are often the only ones people feel they could afford) while the better grade ones are not going for that much more. The gap is very minor.
  16. Try to find out where that CT is and ask Eastman to make sure to marker all over it with his Remarque (my guess is maybe lower right corner)
  17. Very excited about this signing. While I no longer have my 1st print, I am more than happy to have my low grade 3rd print reader copy used for this (as that was the copy I loved the most, so any sigs and drawings would only enhance it). Packed and shipped it out today and now begins the waiting game...arrrhhggg
  18. The final issue of Last Ronin will be released on May 19th, 2021, so I expect the demand will remain 'crazy' until then...at that point it might begin to level off, but only if no news of the latest TMNT movie is released (as I'm sure that will just hype it all up again once more info becomes available)
  19. Ah, so you're not the 'stanleecomics' on eBay who is selling that TMNT issue with the exact matching marks...the same seller with the exact Werewolf by Night issues you were offering on the boards earlier tonight. Hmmm the plot thicks!
  20. TMNT #1 3rd print (removing pictures seems a little sus, but I guess it was because it was also for sale on eBay - matching marks)
  21. Is this the same "hilltop" pedigree on eBay right now?
  22. One of the things I really wish CGC would reassess is their stance on NG books in the CGC Comic Registry (not talking about the census). I really feel that coverless issues (either complete or mostly complete, not individual pages) should be allowed to be added to ones competitive set (albeit at almost no points regardless of value. 1 point across the board for all NG books, but allowed to fill the slot). We've already paid CGC to authenticate the issue, might as well let us use it for the registry This would allow people to feel they actually have a chance at completing epic rare sets (as even owning an Action Comics #1 coverless is a damn impressive feat that should count towards owning the book in the registry sets), and thus spur more people towards buying books they might have otherwise not purchased or have graded just to fill out sets - I'm sure CGC would appreciate even more submissions by people on their quest to complete a set. I personally know there are a few golden age registry sets I honestly would consider completing if I could fill the biggest slot with a coverless copy (I know I won't ever be a contender for the top slot in that competitive set, but for me personally it's nice to see and allows the set to reach 100% completion). Maybe it's just me though
  23. Awesome news @AshleyHabedank , though I do have a few questions since this will be my first time submitting to such a signing. 1) Are there any plans to offer a custom label that is perhaps Ninja Turtle branded? 2) Can multiple Remarques be purchased for a single book? I would honestly consider whatever costs to have Eastman to draw four turtles on the back cover of my TMNT #1 3) Is that Remarque preview in your original post accurate to what Eastman plans to be sketching on all books? I've seen many SS books with his signature and the turtle head he draws is very consistent (this one looks MUCH more detailed and nicer than all those other ones) 4) Is it safe to assume multiple pen colors will be on hand (black, white, silver, gold), and that we can indicate the preferred color with a note on the prepped comic? Thanks!
  24. Jared bought a graded early Planet comic from me, and was super pleasant when making a deal. Excellent buyer - so sell him your Planets now!
  25. TLDR: reproductions are, as of right now NOT, nor will ever be for decades, any sort of threat to the hobby (nor are they close to being any sort of real issue). Maybe will some trick some newbies, sure, to everyone else who knows better it is very, very obvious.
