  9. We've moved to a considerably smaller home which requires some downsizing, and I've spent too much money lately, so it's time for a sales thread! Usual rules apply: no probations, HOS, problem children, etc. First "I'll Take IT" trumps all ongoing negotiations. Shipping to the US is $20 for up to 3 slabs, and $10 for unlimited raw books. Shipping for larger lots that require TWO USPS Priority boxes will be $30. Shipping is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Priority Mail USPS will be utilized. I am happy to ship to Canada, but shipping will have to be calculated when order is complete, AND I accept NO LIABILITY for damages through customs. Offers will be considered, but acceptance is not implied until we come to an agreement. Returns are accepted on raw books. Sales of CGC graded books will be considered FINAL. Preferred form of payment is PayPal, but checks or money orders will be accepted as well. Payments are expected in a timely manner unless other arrangements are made. Paying by check or money order will result in the books being held until payment clears. PayPal payments will get the books out to you within 24-48 hrs. This thread will be rolled out in portions. Slabs will be listed first, raw single issues will be listed second. A follow up thread will feature 1965-1968 lots. Please feel free to contact me with questions. I'll try to answer in a timely manner.
  10. Amazing Spider-Man #33. Your friend will need to read the entire "If This Be My Destiny....!" storyline, found in ASM 31-33. I'd give anything to be in your friend's shoes. Reading that story for the first time was a total game changer for me, as I'm sure it was for many others out there. Ditko clicking on ALL cylinders there.....
  11. The last Wizard convention I paid to get into had more booths selling kitchen and bath remodels than booths selling vintage comics. I'm not exaggerating in the least, unfortunately.
  12. Collectors are very fortunate to have people like Bob and Greg in the hobby. Always professional regardless of the nature of the purchase.
  13. I actually go out of my way to find subscription creased copies. They can in many cases be some of the cleaner mid grade books available. I have no idea why or any facts to back up my claim, but I believe they have WHITE pages more frequently than other mid grade books (although I could be wrong and it just seems that way). In my experience, very clean examples with little wear other than a "light" sub crease tend to top out at 5.5 when certified. Just my experience though.
  14. In @1983, I remember going to our LCS and being hypnotized by the STACK of DD1's they had under the counter. I don't remember how many books were in the said stack, but I would estimate it to be @10 copies. The was a tri-folded sign on top that read $50, but that may not have been the price for each book, but rather the price only for the one on the top of the stack which was likely the nicest. Right next to the DD1's, there was a similar stack of Avengers 1's. That's why the book is still relatively cheap; even 30 years ago stores were practically tripping over those books.
  15. Fantastic Four #52-5.5 OWW-$SOLD (last 2 ebay auctions that I found were for $755 and $640) Somehow, I deleted my BC pictures. I'll get a photo of this later tonight, but rest assured, there's nothing going on back there.
  16. Amazing Spider-Man #129-5.5 W-$SOLD (last 2 ebay sales that I could find were BINs for $619 and $690). Book presents very nicely for grade. Very clean copy brought down by a couple of long, light FC creases.
  17. Amazing Spider-Man #122-8.0 W-$SOLD (last ebay auction sales were for $218 and $227) Book seems like a really, really, really nice 8.0 to my eyes.......
  18. Amazing Spider-Man #121-9.0 OWW-$SOLD (last 2 ebay auction sales were $560 and $526)
  19. First sales thread in a couple of years.....I don't have a kudos thread since the site switched over, but if someone who previously bought from me would like to chime in, that'd be great. Regular rules apply, no problem citizens, HOS, probationaries, etc. Shipping is $15 to the USA, will include Signature Confirmation, and is non-negotiable. PayPal, Money Order, or personal check is an acceptable form of payment, however checks must clear before books are sent out. I'll get the books out within a couple of days of payment, if not sooner. Returns are accepted for raw books. Returns will NOT be accepted on CGC graded books. Offers will be considered, but the first trumps any ongoing negotiation. I don't know the pressing history of these 4 books; I bought them in the slabs in which they currently reside. Pics and prices to follow.
  20. I guess if you're looking to invest, I'd go with Hulk 1 since it seems like a much better time to buy than a couple of years ago. Not to mention the FF 1 has a lot of heat right now. If you're a collector, I think FF is, has always been, and will always be the Alpha Dog SA Marvel title.
