  1. Nothing as great as recent finds, but still a nice little find for the price. Full run of Detective Comics New 52 up to #39 plus the Annuals and Future's End. Detective #1 is a 3rd print though. Also a couple of Detective #608's not pictured.
  2. Yes what Kav said. Keep at it until you get the right person. If it is in ebay message system that they wanted a return straight away might look dubious to them.
  3. This guy was a real winner... When I told him eBay told me that he should call them as they could not see any error on 'our' end, he left some barely readable message about how I was not helping him. I asked for his email address as the other work around proposed by eBay to this supposed "glitch' was to send him an invoice directly via PayPal. He provided his email, I sent the invoice via PayPal and that is when communication stopped completely and I went ahead and opened and closed the case. Strange thing is, the guy has been on eBay for awhile so not sure why he went off the rails on this one...
  4. I'd like to nominate eBay buyer zambo47 to the blocked buyers list. Long story short, buyer alleged a technical glitch with combined invoice, when I told him eBay's response (they saw no glitch and asked for him to call eBay), buyer stopped communication and I had to open (and close) a case for non-payment.
  5. Al recently purchased some Marvel Illustrated Paperbacks from my sales thread and a few other Marvel items. Great guy to chat and deal with and he paid promptly. I would not hesitate to do business with Al again. Two Thumbs Up!!!
  6. I finally saw Ant-Man last night. For the most part, I really enjoyed it. A lot of people in the theater seemed to have enjoyed it too. I *think* Ant-Man (along with Wasp), will be more of a "slow burn" - As positive word of mouth gets around and with appearances in other Marvel flicks that an Ant-Man II would do even better. This little movie has a lot going for it.
  7. . It's not THAT much. Over the last 12 months I've averaged 183 auctions per week. I'm sure there are people here that do more than I do. Not sure about the name change back...I think some panties are still in knots. what's the story?
  8. I'm on the lookout for one of those. 1st appearance Peacemaker is bound to get hot any day now Nice book. Thanks and as for movie...You never know!
  9. Had another mini-find. Nothing nearly as cool as the recent showings but, I dig them.
  10. How does one become an Overstreet Advisor? I like to think that there is some "secret society" type like initiation element to it all...
  11. Noticed that. Good for them. Dan ...I stuck my nose in that...The guy started insulting Canadians for no reason...That shall not stand!
  12. wow --- those are nice - congrats There is a Little Big Book section at the front of Over street, and the digests should be listed as well I had that Grimms as a little boy,if you are getting rid of it lmk....fond memories.Donald Duck,if I recal has a flip image story...wore my old copy out!. I'm in Ottawa....was find close to here?very nice score! Yeah, I went to Overstreet found some info and yes, once I catalogue will be selling. I'm in North Bay.
  13. wow --- those are nice - congrats Thank you. I was pleased with the variety...Not something I normally buy but like I said, did not want to leave them behind.
  14. Another successful pick! Local guy responded to my ad. Just thought I would share and maybe get some insight on a few things. LITTLE BIG LOT - I know nothing about these but the price was right and I didn't want to them to deteriorate further, so I picked them up. I will do some research but if anyone has info now, much appreciated. There were also these things that came with bubble gum...Putting them beside a Little Big Book for reference...Just thought they were neat. They were a throw in. MARVEL ILLUSTRATED & DC DIGEST LOT - Again, I don't know much about them but price was right and I wanted to 'save' them. SMALL MISC. MAGAZINE LOT EPIC ILLUSTRATED LOT - Two issues of #1. Love this mag. SILVER/BRONZE/COPPER LOT - The guy had more books but not in bag and boards and these were the ones I *had* to save. Today was a good day. Thanks for looking and any info on the Little Big Books and Marvel Illustrated and DC Digests or whatever they are called would be appreciated.
  15. #475 should be coming back from CGC soon...
  16. I recently purchased a CGC 7.0 of ASM #121. Book was shipped fast and was very, very well packed. I am very pleased with my purchase and it was nice to talk 'shop' with Brock too! I would not hesitate to buy from Brock/Columbia Comics. Thanks again!
  17. Once a book hits "graded" on MFT, what is the 'typical' amount of time until it is shipped/safe?
  18. I agree. Spidey has SO many great villains to choose from...They should give Norman/GG a break and rehabilitate the character for a later time. They have used quite a few villains though...We have seen GG, Doc Ock (which was pretty great), Venom, Lizard, Electro and even Rhino to a lesser extent...I think it would be interesting if Marvel would go with a villain we have not seen any incarnation of on the big screen. They could do some pretty cool effects with Mysterio. I *can* see how they want to include Norman though in the Marvel Cinematic U...They could set him up as a big player and after Civil War maybe he could emerge to become the President or new SHIELD Director , heroes are all outlawed...Whole Dark Reign thing... Anyway, I don't really care who they cast or who the villain is so long as they make a GOOD Spidey film...ASM 2 was like Spider-Man 3 for me...Just...So...Much...Wrong...With...It...
  19. Nice looking issue of Uncanny X-Men #129, 1st Kitty Pryde. Interiors are perfect. At least off-white to white pages. Complete. Biggest issue is when tilted in certain lighting conditions, can slightly see what looks like a bit of a thumb print on Storm's cape, close to the right edge. Note: if a vertical line appears, that is a scanner boo-boo. Not on the book. FRONT BACK Thanks for your input!
  20. Not as good as what some of the "big boys" post, but I just checked my grade report and I should have these in hand soon... Avengers #196 (1st Taskmaster) - 9.4 Daredevil #168 (1st Elektra) - 9.6 Marvel Team-Up #95 (1st Mockingbird) - 9.8 New Teen Titans #2 (1st Deathstroke) - 9.4 Savage She-Hulk #1 (1st She-Hulk) - 9.6 All white pages too!
  21. I recently purchased some silver age Amazing Spider-Man books from Ed. They arrived fast and they were EXPERTLY packed and the books were as described. Ed was also very pleasant to speak with and I would not hesitate to purchase from him again in the future. Thanks Ed!!!
