  1. +100! Got in early for the Thursday ECCC, 1 hour and $175 bucks later and it was variant haul heaven. Best "50% off variant" boxes I have ever seen, and a batman 635 for $3 iced the cake. Cheers! An extra Savage Wolverine....
  2. Congrats Thanks. I tried juicing it with a $175+ shipping 7 day BIN...it had 5 watchers......12 hours later .. then knocked it down to $149.95 and got offered $100, he countered with $115.......I countered with $135.He passed so I canceled the offer and the listing. Relisted it at $124.95 and it sold immediately.Probably would have (and should have) just let it sit at $149.95 BIN but whatevs. It would have sat in my boxes for another few months if you hadn't brought this to my attention ....I already had it for about half a year, or more, got it in a trade as a throw in,,,,with a Eternals 1 CGC 9.0 (cracked slab), DD 168 CBCS 6.5, Ms Marvel 1 CGC 9.2....all 4 slabs..and a Captain America # 333 CGC 9.4 (cracked case, I gave it away to a kid I know as a freebie in a trade)....all those 5 slabs..AAAAND the kid threw them into a trade for $75 worth in credit, at my table Cheers again for the heads up....and if you are going to to any of the shows that I will be set up, please stop by my booth and I shall present you with an *ICE COLD PINT OF GUINNESS DRAUGHT* , from my mini-cooler, behind my table. It's always nice to put a face to a name:) Next show I have around your way is Eternal Con (paid the extra dough for a Premiere Placement table...learned my lesson last year..ugh) than Terrific Con, way out in effing CT in the summer....... Buuuuut, you should check out the South Jersey Con in May 1st......it's a packed room......a small show with tons of competitively priced dealers...I can get you through the door at 9:15AM .........45 minutes before the show opens to the public;) http://frankensteincomics.com/ It is a smaller show but it averages about a 1,000 attendees. There are no VIP passes, doors open at 10AM. Send me a PM with your number and I'll text you mine, just give me a call when you pull up. Just pay the $3 admission fee to the promoter, I've known him for 20+ years.I'll let you in thru the back door and introduce you to the promoter briefly, you may then hand him his lousy three bucks...I don't need Bill getting ticked at me, hah....and proceed to pick away;) There's the CAK we all know! Even a wonderful back door reference.
  3. Odd question (and may not be the right website), but if you have comics coming back via USPS Registered and you move, are they forwarded to the new address (assuming you have forwarding in place) or are there special rules for Registered mail?
  4. Legit question: Is there a way to turn off notifications/emails/etc. for when a counteroffer expires? People send me a low-ball offer, I reply with a counteroffer, then I get an email and phone push notification 2 days letter when it expires.
  5. Purchased 2 slabs; packed well (box-in-a-box) and shipped quickly.
  6. This is the third time the seller has listed that copy. Others were BINs. Good close-ups of the front and back, but only a far camera pick of the front cover and it's still in a shiny sleeve. Would probably do the seller better (or worse if he's hiding defects) to also include a front and back cover scan. There are very large front and back cover scans in the item description... That's what I get for not scrolling down. Figured you were on a mobile device. Not a huge fan of the eBay app. What I dislike most about the eBay app is that it does not have any quick way to ID best offer sales versus "regular" sales. Seems like an easy fix -- and is something they already do on the site -- but no dice.

  9. It was Then double :sorry: I'll just post this again then: Oh, and The Boys #1.
  10. Was Walking Dead #108 heating up again been mentioned already? I forget.
  11. My raws will be on eBay as soon as I get home.
  12. Seeing how an unslabbed NM copy can be had for under $20, I'd say it will last pretty long. They made sooooo many of these, considering it's a 1:25 (?). Other than establishing a rough baseline, what does the 1:25 tell us about how many they made? What I meant to say was: "Several shops must have ordered large on the #1 because I see a lot of 1:25 copies out there."

  14. 3/23 Scheduled for Grading 3/29 Shipped/Safe (10 9.8) (1 9.6) Nice 10:1 ratio and that's crazy fast (8 days) of a turn around. Yeah crazy I am sending some more Nice grades. How modern were those moderns? Fresh off the shelf or Copper? With these new TATs need to get around to picking out some more winners.
  15. Prestige are the worst. And so are: Tales of the Teen Titans #44, Spectacular Spider-Man #64, Captain America #360, X-Factor #6, and Solar #10.
  16. Is it because of the bindery tears or something else? Good question, they didn't provide grader notes, nor could i get them as they didn't keep them on this book. My guess is the spine riping/stress caused by the 3x sized book. My copies also had the small tears at the corners, but I've gotten countless 9.8's on books with that issue. The lack of grader notes leads to my frustration as I'm not sure why they're dinging the book, although, just sent in another batch and they all got 9.8.. /me scratches head. How many is a batch?
  17. I know they "usually" don't take off for production defects like bindery tears, but b/c this book is so large perhaps the tears are larger than normal and are dinged? Just a guess.

  19. That emoticon has always confused me. It could go either way. It could be sarcasm, or it could be agreement. I use the golf clap as sarcasm I wish there was an icon for a slow golf clap.
  20. Nice; knew my hoarding would pay off. Don't forget to check for the MVS!
  21. Though I love the strange spread-eagle cover, may be time to sell my 9.8.
