  1. Anybody know who the initials "GM" on the above STRANGE TERRORS might be? I'm drawing a blank right at the moment.
  2. I agree, Adam. They have almost a "penny dreadfull" feel to them at times.
  3. Here's a title I like quite a bit. St. John gets little press, but they were cool.
  4. Here's another ST full spread cover. From the Jo Ann Pedigree.
  5. Yup! Looks awesome! Yet another fantastic example of a full spread Atlas cover that became so much more used just prior to the code. Fabulous!
  6. Thanks for giving the thread so much credit, CKB! I'm sure it was probably coincidence, though..... ...& what a NICE copy it is!
  7. #28, eh?! Well, here's 25, not too shabby. My next pic will be #29, so if you have a 28 post away! Many gaps in this set. Since this title stretched into the Silver Age, many hero collectors buy the pre-code horror issues to complete their runs. Most of the time the price on lower grade copies goes for more than what I'm willing to pay. One day I will have them all.....
  8. EEEEwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! You lucky bastage! Nice score!
  9. BEHOLD!!! STRANGE TALES # 1 Doesn't come up for sale very often. This is the most I have ever paid for a pre-code horror comic. A whopping $375!!!
  10. Love that Ditko! Oh, & don't apologize for beaters - we love those, too!
  11. Read that when it came out. Found the " HORROR COMICS " style to be strangely familiar.
  12. BTW- I should mention that the process for the color in the guy's jacket ads what I think is a cool effect, don't you agree?
  13. I've grown very partial to the later issues of HoF lately.
