  1. Some of these non-cluttered Atlas covers can really rock...
  2. DevilBat - Welcome to the Boards & thanks for the kindness! I myself have wondered about those two votes for Fox. Very interesting pick. I almost didn't include them on the poll, but hey 1 horror comic is 1 horror comic. I think it was reprinted by Star at some point, as well. Off the top of my head without double checking, anyway.
  3. I'll post this in the marketplace as well, but I wanted to ask here if anyone had any pre-code horror that they would like to trade for other GA or other PCH? PM me!
  4. "From Under the Earth" was a better choice of title than the original working title: "Frumunda Cheese Attacks!"
  5. You have my eternal envy! Were you buying pre-code horror then? If so, do you still have the books?
  6. Of course, it would be nice if the "$1" wasn't written in grease pen on the front cover.
  7. Must have been nice to have been collecting back in the day when these sold for $1 as back issues!
  8. Nah. I'm sure he's cadavering- uh, I mean cavorting around here somewhere.
  9. Hey! Check out the dude for the "Bwana Brown" yarn! Look familiar to anyone?! I think it's our boy from the "flaming poo" story in JiM. This panel has no context at all to the Bwana Brown story inside.
  10. Plus "Cadaver" signs on the next day AFTER Sterling "dies." ...and Sterling has the Maiden thing going on in his "rip" sig, & Cadaver has Eddie for an Avatar...
  11. OK, let's play a little game... If Sterling has "retired" his persona for the present, do you think he has "come back" as someone else on the boards already??? If so, who? My guess: "CADAVER".
  12. By now this title had dropped the "planet" logo for the more sinister "skull" version. This one contains the great "They Crawl By Night" story by Wolverton. I think it has been reprinted somewhere by now, anybody care to share a reprint page or two scan? I don't want to subject my copy to any further indignities of my scanner...
  13. Not really worked up, it is just a message board after all. However, nobody likes to have their posts replied to as "you're wrong", etc. when there was no fact incorrectly stated. Now, as for the celebrating.....
  14. That story is simply . Thanks for the post, Scrooge!
  15. Actually, it can't be "wrong" because if you read the posts neither OF or myself ever claimed that it was the "number of the beast." We are celebrating Sterling's 6,666th post achivement because of it's relation to 666. Let us have our creepy fun. ...and it IS a creepy-cool relation/achievement. Sterling must think so. Seems like he may have retired his persona by the looks of his "RIP" sig & lack of recent posting. If "Sterlingcomics" is dead..... Long Live Sterling!
  16. Yeah, yeah. We now all about "666." But if you don't think 6,666 posts is something of a cool achievement on these boards, especially for a horror fan.... well
  17. Sterling- just thought I'd give you a horror-head "congrats" on your 6,666th post. You De-Mon! Or is it "You De Man!" BTW - What's w/ the "RIP" sig?!
  18. Welcome to the boards! Yes, that one is regarded pretty rare from what I know. I don't know what "general" interest it would have, but for Warren completists it would be a nice find, especially in that grade.
  19. IS IT SCI - FI ??!! IS IT HORROR??!! I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT SURE IS WEIRD! (and the grade ain't too shabby, either!)
  20. Generally, flaming poo works best when placed on front doorsteps. Someone should tell corpse-boy, as I think he's taken it a little too far. I'm quite sure this couple won't find his prank funny in the least. I see a lawsuit in his future...
  21. I "dig" that one, Pov! Wow, Atlas was soooo creative with story titles. "Til Death Do Us Part" in JiM 6 to "Til Death Us Do Part" in JiM 15.
