  1. I watched a lot of the Marvel movies in recommended order over release order on Disney+ in 2020/21, then ran out of steam after Black Panther. I enjoyed most of them but never really understood the hype, as in how people rave at how great they are, and how each release breaks opening day box office records. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of these are fun movies but I’m like, “are they really that good?!”

I concur with the previous comments about the over saturation of streaming content. I am so far behind now that I just don’t have in me to even try and get back into this. I was invited to go to the last Dr. Strange and then Wakanda Forever by a group of friends but I told them both times I couldn’t make it. I really could have gone but I was afraid I’d be lost because I hadn’t kept up with the previous films.

I don't understand, if the TPB collects #1-4 how could it come out before issue #1? Is it the word "previews"? That's not a description of the book, that's the name of the monthly order catalog from Diamond.

    This.

Also more along the lines of Man of Steel Raffle Edition TPB that has the collected 1-4 bound under 1 cover . It was released before the first TPB , but not prior to issues 1-4.

I forgot to compare this to the Man of Steel Raffle Edition! As to my presumption if it came out before issue #1, it could be possible that Topps had these ready to go before October 1992? There was also a second printing of issue #1, so if this Previews Edition were release afterwards, maybe it would have had the second printing inside, assuming Topps used leftover inventory to put this together? However, it does make sense that this was released after the four issues were sent to comic shops. I still don’t know, I was only speculating.

I am not 100% sure, but there have been a few of the bound copies that were distributed as part of the Dimaond Retailer and Roundtable Meetings as a promotional item. (RRP ) this looks like it could have easily been one of those.

I just had one graded, CGC mislabeled it as just issue #1. I submitted as Bram Stoker’s Dracula TPB, noting the variant as Previews Exclusive on my invoice, now the book is back at CGC as a ME. I’ll be anxious to see what they decide to call this.

Mmmm, I'm not so sure about that.  In the old days, if your slab was mislabeled or damaged, no matter where you got it from, you could send it back as an ME. Now the rule is (per Customer Service), if you sent in the books yourself and something ends up being wrong, you can still get them fixed through an ME.  However, if you purchased the slab from someone else and there's something wrong, you have to send it back and pay to have it reholdered.

Right now there's a CGC on eBay I'd really like to buy but the label is misspelled.  But if I do, I can't get it fixed via an ME.  I'd have to send it back on my own dime and pay to have it reholdered.

Is this a recent change? I sent a book in last August as a ME that I got off eBay, the label had incorrect creator credits. I was emailed a form to fill out with an overnight UPS label and the got the book corrected and shipped back to me within 9 calendar days.

I have another ME in “Scheduled for Grading” now and it’s been over a month, but it is a book I submitted myself.

Now they dropped a pink foil… either $200 or 1500 rewards points for this one raw!

I hung in there for the gold, silver, and red but am officially tired of this :censored:!  Pink doesn’t even make sense!!

There is going to also be a blue, and they hinted at a black w/red ‘S’. The latter makes the most sense but I am way over it already… won’t be going for any more of these.  I'm actually kind of irritated now!

P.S. I just added a few more books to my Custom Death of Superman Set (first Custom Set link in my signature).  New additions are at the end of the gallery... please check it out some time.  Thanks!

Say what! I agree, this one don’t look right. The red one is the best one IMHO. I took a look a look at your latest additions, sweet dollar version of Superman #75! Reading your entry for the World Without A Superman TPB almost made me cry thou, because there are only two 9.8s and I let the first one slip away on ComicLink years ago!

About 11:30 to about 13:30, is where I skipped to, and it summed up the 22 minute video, I'd assume, or it was enough for me. It's tough.

Those staple pulls were painful. I haven’t seen the old inner wells where it’s just the two sheets pressed together for a long time, it’s all the indented trey type now. I’m not sure why CGC changed.

I managed to pick up a full run on eBay last fall for about $3 an issue.  It also came with two copies of #’s 9 and 10.  Both 9’s had the unmarried part 1 of Aliens countdown.

Your 100% right about there odd size.  I can get them in a standard magazine box (barely).  I have them in magazine bags and boards but I can’t close the tops.

The UK Aliens mags are kind of a pain. They're almost always in terrible shape because they're printed on super thin paper, and they're such an odd size. Narrow, but taller than a standard magazine box. I used to have a few as a kid, long gone. I suppose at some point I'll try to finish the run, but considering that they're mostly (MOSTLY) reprints, and not easy to source in the US, I'm not in any big hurry.

A small part of me is tempted but I’ll stick with the Topps Comics set instead. They’re still really cool thou.
