The page is multiple thousands and is the best page in the book. <rant>That is why the #%%# penciller/inker and their rep sold it outside of the deal I had in place to buy the full issue. All three did not care about that deal.</rant> 20 years later I am still trying to piece together the full issue but with the market as it now the page is super expensive. I don't think it is going for more than expected, unlike the other story in this thread, just that I am not sure if it is worth being a completist unless doing so would increase the overall value. If can get the last piece I will never break it up. If cannot I am not sure what I will do with other pages.

If the page is going for market and you can afford it, why not? If this is the last and best page of a book you’ve been trying to put back together, seems like a no brainer. Otherwise, keep the pages you want, sell the rest, and move on. To put it bluntly, sound like this is your s**t or get off the pot moment.

I remember seeing it, don't know if it was discussed here.

I take it the person is the owner of HA?

Don’t think the person is from heritage, but not sure. A friend asked me if I knew anything about it because it apparently happened close to me. Googled and this is what came up.

Then I would say reread the story. The entire first half of the series culminates on this page! After this page the entire focus and storyline changes from Warlocks plan to the secondary one and all the “gods” and entities come in. Before this page it was your basic superheroes in the fight. Definitely a pivotal moment!

I’ve read it several times, thanks. I think the page before and after this one are way better. Different strokes, man. You think this is a culmination page, I think it’s a breather page.

None of those are key pages in the book. All are nice, but I think the seller priced it based on art AND story content.

The page that sold for 31k was artistically average too (nice), but it went for that amount because it was well advertised as the page before Thanos snaps his fingers. Key page to the storyline and the movies.

I get the price justifications (as much as I can) but this 33K page is not one that sticks out to me for art OR story. (shrug)

The issue with this and the other OA claim shows is that 95% of the material that is offered by the various dealers (across all price points) is C or B-level "inventory" art.

I think it’s generous to call what was shown today B or C level.
B/C doesn’t bother me, because a lot of what I collect, I doubt a lot of people would consider A. I just don’t understand the idea of starting the show with Bechara walking the floor, showing all those covers and big ticket items… then offering what was offered. You’d think they’d want to hype at least some of the great art you’re supposedly missing out on at the LA art show.

I hadn’t planned on going. But to see this live and in person.... grape ape might have to put on a fresh pair o fruit of the looms and make the drive.

I’ll watch if it’s gonna be streamed, but there’s very little that makes me want to go to LA. This is definitely not one of them.
