Probably did. I was wearing a bright orange ball cap. Yeah, Bill had a few other pages he pulled out to show us that were gorgeous. I really hope the buyer shares with the world at some point. It’d be a shame for that beautiful art to go in a black hole.

I’ll survive. The more expensive art I go for, the more I have to expect somebody will be a bigger BSD. Lol hopefully I’ll have some good alternates to show for the trip out. But yeah, the black and white work I feel is even better than the published stuff. Hopefully whoever bought it will share on CAF or whatnot so everybody can check it out.

Person, I believe. I was first in line (hoping to buy a piece) waiting for Bill to get there so him and Sal could talk prices. Pretty much right after Bill arrived, a guy showed up and went off to talk to Sal. Next thing, the entire book was sold. The pages were gorgeous, too. I’m assuming the ones he has on the wall will stay up through the con, so you should at least get to see a few of them.

This will be my first time going to NYCC. Are there multiple cue lines to get onto the floor each morning like there are at SDCC?

Not for lack of trying, the amount of venues I see him list an item I didn’t want before the flip...

I’m curious about paper as well if anybody has experience with it. I got a commission earlier this year at a con from an artist who normally doesn’t do 11x17, but was nice enough to. The only blank 11x17 he had was not good with heavy ink, so it took him longer than he expected. Still a great commission, but I’d like to be able to have some good blanks handy if the situation arose again.

Their mess of an art auction didn’t last long.

Ehh, by this analogy, only the original purchase was a consensual act in private. The flip is secretly recording the act and putting it on pornhub. That’s revenge porn, and there’s laws against that.

Being primarily a New Mutants collector, I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better SDDC experience. A few pickups from Adams, Davis and Sienkiewicz.

I totally get your point, but I don’t know if Showgirls is the best reference. That’s one of the best comedies of the 90’s imo.

How am I ridiculing the seller? Yes, they were extremely lucky to see the listing first (since it looks like it ended within 10 minutes of it being listed), but buying a piece, having it cleaned and relisting a month and a half later is a flip. Which is what this thread is about. Good for him if he gets the $8000 he’s looking for. I didn’t post on anybody’s sale thread calling them out. So much of the market are pieces going from sales site to sales site. I for one like seeing the pieces listed here. I think it helps people get a clearer idea of actual market value.
