  1. I don't know-- if I want something, I used a sniping program where I would determine what the most I was willing to pay for an item and put that number in. If it went past that-- it wasn't meant to be. The program puts the bid in with 7 seconds left if the current bid isn't already over the amount (which happened quite often). It can be fun sometimes to monitor an auction and do the manual thing. But having that snipe bid in place can be very useful.
  2. these multi-colored titles always made me think of this candy...
  3. The best part about certain video games was that you could get good at them and really make that quarter last. Galaxian and Galaga were ones I could max out on quite often. But one of my favorites from late high school and freshman year in the dorms at Illinois (1984-85) was Punchout. I could pretty much always go deep past the championship belt in that one, but my favorite guy to knockout was the super predictable Bald Bull who did his three hop attack that you could time well and kock him out every time. Not sure if this gif is from that version as the one I played had your boxer represented by a green criss cross see through graphic.
  4. SO annoyed at some buyers out there-- had one buy a vinyl album, pay for it and then immediately request a cancel of the order. It was a regular Buy It Now with nothing flashy. They had a FB rating of "1" at the time -- so not much I could do to stop them from anything as a BIN. What sucks is even though the fault is entirely on them, I think this hurts my ratings. I also had to relist the item and pay a 30 cent transaction charge with pay pal. Hate this kind of buyer-- they didn't even bother explaining why they did it-- just an immediate cancel request. I started to put the order together when I noticed they had a confirmed address that had two addresses and towns listed-- and going to ask-- where am I supposed to send this? Then just as quickly-- cancel request. So if you want to block them-- be my guest: cabus_mgh6mabk (Feedback Score Of 2 )100.0% Maria Caballero

  6. neat-- did the seller know the sig was in there and sell it as such or was it a pleasant surprise later for her?

  8. for the guys setting up the yard sales this weekend-- take some pictures of your setup and share them here-- I would find that interesting and I bet I am not alone. good luck!
  9. always been a fan of 77 as it was one of my earliest Spider-man reads
  10. did you mean "classicironman" ? the block feature requires case sensitive user names to work properly-- just making sure before I block them.
  11. I checked and don't have slym blocked. Then again, I took the time to read the posts and evaluate them for myself. There is a real danger in blindly following any list published here. I would advise people against publishing lists in general unless they can say they are certain the list has not been compromised (like slym's example). As for whether the thread is worthwhile-- it varies. Sometimes it alerts you to some nasty buyers and sellers to avoid. I never just put one on block because someone posts them here. They have to tell me the situation and then I make my own call. It is supposed to be a subjective list giving readers the ultimate thumbs up or down decision.
  12. if ever there were a good time to use spoiler tags..... maybe when throwing up that huge list? or CAK/RMAs wall of text -- -- has he found the culprit? the mysterious notifier?
  13. To be fair-- I had the same thought as you but decided to look up the word.
  14. he used it correctly, though most use it to describe something that won't dissolve into a liquid. It also means impossible to solve. in·sol·u·ble inˈsälyəb(ə)l/ adjective adjective: insoluble 1. impossible to solve. "the problem is not insoluble" synonyms: unsolvable, unanswerable, unresolvable; More unfathomable, impenetrable, unexplainable, inscrutable, inexplicable "some problems are insoluble" 2. (of a substance) incapable of being dissolved. "once dry, the paints become insoluble in water" synonyms: indissoluble, incapable of dissolving "these minerals are insoluble in water"
  15. Just want to say that I am not the person notifying on any posts.
  16. round 6, here we go..... can't you guys take this discussion to one of the bazillion other ebay threads in the forum and leave this one to do it's job? This has been ridiculous thread hijacking as it is about how ebay operates-- not people needing to be blocked. .

  22. you can either set the link size to large thumbnail or whatever size works for you -- then copy the IMG link it creates or figure out what letter is added to the original for the size you want to use. Like for the large thumbnail version, you add a lower case L to the end of the filename like this: http;/...............xxxxx.jpg edited to http;/...............xxxxxl.jpg
  23. seems like the major choke point to the operation is the grading.
