  1. Overall, I enjoyed the pilot. A bit unsteady as to how they rushed Katy's discovery of the Batcave and it's equipment.
  2. After 30 years digging around local cons, finally found a high grade run of BA Marvel Tales at a reasonable price:
  3. I thought Stan Lee was on the left cover but research says it is Rathbone, the Sherlock Holmes actor:
  4. Great video summary of NYCC. Most interesting was Strawberry Shortcake Cgc 9.8: a scarce treasure at Metro.
  5. Overstreet does not breakout all the Matt Baker Voodoo reprints in 'Weird' magazine. e.g. Edited or 'enhanced' art (extra knife blade through skull in splash) from volume 4, #6 (1970) by Eerie Publications:
  6. Matt Baker Voodoo's or Vooda's the headless pinned on wall story reprinted in 1970 'Weird' vol. 4, #6 mag which also has a Baker back cover:

  8. The glory and grandeur hyperbole from Thor #158!
  9. Makes no sense to open a comic store if you have no inventory or personal collection worth at least $50,000++ to roll into the shop to start it up. Might as well open up a DVD rental shop and get crushed by Netflix and streaming. Seriously, why don't you set up your own bi-monthly Pop Culture comicon out of the largest hall (gym, community center, hotel ballroom, church) you can rent that hopefully includes the 8' or 6' dealer's tables and chairs onsite? On the weekends in between, I recommend you sell at other local collectible shows, Sunday flea markets and mail order online.
  10. Yes, the Edmonton and Calgary Expos are once a year and have much higher attendance and vendor participation than Fan Expo Vancouver.
  11. Main advantage of PH neutral chemical wash is the magic tape on spine could be lifted else tape adhesive would eat away at AF #15.
  12. A professional PH neutral chemical wash will lift soot and reduce staining of your covers. Should still be able to get u a blue label CGC. Restoration is pieces added, trimming, color touch.
  13. SA ASM pin-up that was later reprinted in Marvel Tales #137, the poor man's AF #15:
  14. Have the covers dipped into a chemical wash by a pro to reduce the tape staining, cleaned and pressed into a 1.5, as long as all pages there.
  15. Found a dark brown transmission oil stain but it was on front and back covers of GA comic.
  16. bump. Forumite, painter, illustrator Ryan Heshka has been 1 of the creative guests announced so far: Vancouver Comic Show Nov. 3, 2019 Sunday I also found 1/2 short box of X-men that was misfiled so will bring these to the con at PNE:
  17. Collectors that scan Suspense Comics #1 (Continental) red horror cover may attribute it to Schomburg when it is signed by Quinlan:
  18. OK, found my selling partner. I will likely be sharing 3 x 8' dealer's tables with 'Phantom Eclipse Comics.' fyi, collectors that live in the Vancouver, BC area: Ken Steacy (Marvel Fanfare, Spawn #1, 2 painter) and Johnnie Christmas (Image Comics artist) will be signing for FREE at the annual Word on the Street festival Sunday Sept. 29, 2019 at the perimeter of the Vancouver Public Library downtown.
  19. Annual Western Canada Sports Collectors Convention (WCSCC) at Langley Event Center in Langley, British Columbia (BC), Canada has allocated 50 x 8' dealer's tables for Pop Culture along with 200 x 8' tables for sports cards and memorabilia. Friday November 22 to Sat. November 23, 2019 general admission is only $5. Sunday November 24, 2019 is Family Day so admission is FREE. 2,000 FREE parking spots are available next to the Event Center of which 200,000 square feet is allocated for this yearly convention. Chain restaurants and cafes about 1 block away. Website to be updated next week but vendor info is at Bossa's Sportsfest in Langley, BC Also, I am looking for someone to share at least 2 side by side 8' x 30 inch dealer's tables with. Each table comes with two (2) dealer's badges and is economical at $60 plus GST for the entire 2.5 day event (not per day). There is 4' of space behind the table so a vertical wall rack may be erected to display your comics, mags, photos, sports cards and memorabilia. Loading zone is flat through the gates to the ground level convention floor. The early bird deadline of October 1, 2019 for this reduced vendor rate is fast approaching so please pmail me ASAP, if you have an interest or hockey cards to sell there.
  20. Smooth international transaction for a pro restored GA comic at a fair price for both parties. Fast payment received. Thanks.
