  1. I would like to know if Spirou #1071 and 1072 are listed in the latest Overstreet yet? Perhaps listed next summer once the ComicLink Spirou 1071 Cgc 9.6 Silver Age $$ auction result is reported.
  2. Nice. Seems to be same Moldoff style as his actor/actress artwork in 1939 GA DC 'Movie Comics.'
  3. Monsieur Magik will be there, if you wish to hear the same story over again that @thehumantorch heard from Calgary Expo 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016.
  4. Don't forget the ordeal of all the men's washrooms running out of paper at SDCC on Saturday. 4 hr line up for Hall H is partially shaded; sometimes roasting in the San Diego sun.
  5. Wonder bread is a substitute when one does not have Silly Putty in the home to clean and lift off residue. To remove dust shadows, just rub a Kleenex. It works.
  6. Yes, and MF #51 was more common. For some reason, I had 4 copies of MF #51. Sold 3, keeping last one. Only had 1 Action #12. Great comic.
  7. You can try Wonder bread to reduce the foxing but I am not a professional.
  8. What % of the huge Fan Expo in Toronto is non-sports or sports card booths? 30 years ago, there were successful fusion cons of sports cards and comics together in the Vancouver, BC area. Not anymore.
  9. My LCS and gaming store went nutz and ordered at least 1,000 copies of Marvel's relaunched Star Wars #1 and got the 'hot' variant covers to sell. He just kept about 250 copies of #1 for back stock, and downsized so auctioned off the rest for about 10c each less 30% (3c each) to the auction for their services, taxes and cr card fees.
  10. Great job on the pics so far. Thanks a lot for the report!
  11. +1. From Bill Black's AC Comics "Good Girl Art Quarterly" centerfold. Probably Theakston-ized unless the original cover art still exists:
  12. Would like to know if anyone else has or collects 'Mighty Atom' promo comic circa 1960s. Educational reading:
  13. I will have my buddy drop off some original art to cLink for no reserve auction. Please post a few pics of Torpedo con. Have fun!
  14. Some of the best articles analyzing comics and comic movies is in the newer SDCC convention souvenir books:
  15. I enjoyed Capt Marvel movie with the Kree world building and Skrulls. Better than Catwoman and Iron Man 3 (the Mandarin villian as a mere actor). For a fanboy fantasy, try streaming 'Iron Sky' movie part 1. Modern day Nazis from the dark side of the moon in high heels attack USA. President a la Sarah Palin leads the United Nations with USA outer space defense starship.
  16. Could always track down the harder to find True Believers Hulk #181 $1 reprint as opposed to newer #181 reprint that retails for $3.99. My LCS has the latest reprint slabbed Cgc 9.8 that is eye candy in his glass display case.
  17. When I was in grade 1, I traded ASM #121 straight across for Capt America #111, my fave Steranko cover as a kid. In grade 9, I sold a Hulk #181 nm for overguide at $25 and the high-schooler said I was 'ripping him off' but he still paid. He still has it today and I don't have any #181 in stock anymore.
  18. Nope, sold my Sandman #1-8 few years ago. Still have Essentials: Sandman #1 (1996) and P. Craig Russell 'Sandman' t-shirt:
  19. Yes plus I saw 1 vendor with a sign selling his portable wire wall rack for $200 in the pics. Build your own 'simple' wall rack with supplies from Loews that hopefully does not involve power cutting tools.
  20. Did not see any Geekfest flyers at GA Collectables, Taz, Hourglass Comics, Imperial Hobbies, Comics Scene or Big Pete's but latter is in the middle of moving his shop so in disarray.
  21. I guess you have not watched or streamed 'Iron Sky' parts 1 or 2? Nazis from the moon invade USA which is lead by a president a la Sarah Palin. So bad it is almost good??
