  1. I think CGC uses a 10x magnifier. I used the same device when I used to work Quality Control on circuit boards.
  2. How could one tell it was a fake Hulk #181 unless comic was cracked out of PGX slab and owner found a legit #181 cover over a coverless Hulk #180 or 182 with Marvel Value Stamp inside?
  3. +1. I would like to know the Overstreet nm value for #20 on the top 20 SA comic list to predict which comic/mag may knock it off the list by summer, 2020.
  4. At the very least, cLink reports their better auction results to Overstreet over an average of 5 pages with issues and $$ near the front of the annual Price Guide .
  5. 2nd Smurfs mag from 1958. Not in Overstreet.
  6. Anthropomorphic including 2nd Smurfs from 1958. 3 Mouseketeers has ad pin up for Action #252 Supergirl:
  7. SShhh, we better stop posting about these Belgian keys then. Spirou Smurf collecting will be 'legitimized' once they get reported in Overstreet July, 2020 and distributed at SDCC.
  8. I would like to know if Spirou #1071 and 1072 are listed in the latest Overstreet yet? Perhaps listed next summer once the ComicLink Spirou 1071 Cgc 9.6 Silver Age $$ auction result is reported.
  9. Nice. Seems to be same Moldoff style as his actor/actress artwork in 1939 GA DC 'Movie Comics.'
  10. Monsieur Magik will be there, if you wish to hear the same story over again that @thehumantorch heard from Calgary Expo 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016.
  11. Don't forget the ordeal of all the men's washrooms running out of paper at SDCC on Saturday. 4 hr line up for Hall H is partially shaded; sometimes roasting in the San Diego sun.
  12. Wonder bread is a substitute when one does not have Silly Putty in the home to clean and lift off residue. To remove dust shadows, just rub a Kleenex. It works.
  13. Yes, and MF #51 was more common. For some reason, I had 4 copies of MF #51. Sold 3, keeping last one. Only had 1 Action #12. Great comic.
  14. You can try Wonder bread to reduce the foxing but I am not a professional.
  15. What % of the huge Fan Expo in Toronto is non-sports or sports card booths? 30 years ago, there were successful fusion cons of sports cards and comics together in the Vancouver, BC area. Not anymore.
  16. My LCS and gaming store went nutz and ordered at least 1,000 copies of Marvel's relaunched Star Wars #1 and got the 'hot' variant covers to sell. He just kept about 250 copies of #1 for back stock, and downsized so auctioned off the rest for about 10c each less 30% (3c each) to the auction for their services, taxes and cr card fees.
  17. Great job on the pics so far. Thanks a lot for the report!
  18. +1. From Bill Black's AC Comics "Good Girl Art Quarterly" centerfold. Probably Theakston-ized unless the original cover art still exists:
  19. Would like to know if anyone else has or collects 'Mighty Atom' promo comic circa 1960s. Educational reading:
  20. I will have my buddy drop off some original art to cLink for no reserve auction. Please post a few pics of Torpedo con. Have fun!
  21. Some of the best articles analyzing comics and comic movies is in the newer SDCC convention souvenir books:
